I hope you remember my wheels and tires issue. Well the good news is I finally got the right size rims and tires on yesterday:D the bad news is I still have a horrible vibration:mad: seems worse even than before. I did ask them about putting the centering ring on to make it hubcentric, and he swears they did that. I am going to take back to the dealership for an alarm issue, so I am going to have them rebalance them and see if that helps. Otherwise what else can I do?? Im so frustrated with this I could scream!

double check the hub rings, and ask the dealership to do a "road force variation" test on the wheels/tires so you know the rolling assymbly as a whole it semi-true and balanceable.-chet

Check and see if they have a Hunter balancer. The road-force machines will pick up a lot of stuff internally on the tire that older style machines will not detect. Try to see if they did in fact use rings. You can check for yourself by pulling off one of the wheels. Keep us posted!

That's just bad all the way around:( I'd keep the driving to a minimum without the rings. Have them inspect the lug holes to make sure the lug seats are not damaged.

Make sure you express to the management that you expect some sort of compensation for your inconvenience. That is simply inexcuseable, especially given that they tried to cover up their error.

Bastards.

Ya know I am about ready to strangle someone. I finally got the rings put on and the vibration is better but not perfect. They are now offering to do the road variation test but I honestly do not ever want to go back there again. Anyone know of a good place in the east valley AZ that I can take my car to??

Discount Tire has the Hunter 9700, the "Q45 of balancing machines". They can do the Road Force on them, which is what you need.

However, I'd be more inclined to return the whole mess of stuff to the current shop and get your $$$ back - THEN go to Discount, get it cheaper, AND get it done right.

I can put you in touch with the guy who in my opinion, after 12 years of dealing with him, is the best in the biz - Email me if you need to.

And don't forget there are a few very good mail-order suppliers that can get you hooked up as well! :thinker

That Hunter will pick up all kinds of things the older systems can't. If the wheels are good to go, that should fix the problem and they will get you rolling smooth again :xfingers

04 - If you ever get over to the northwest side of town, let me know - I'd like to see your Max with the new rims/tires...
