Well, grandpa's car anyway. Yesterday, I'm driving to work in a 2004 Cadillac Deville, complete with chrome wheels and hood ornament, and this clown in a red Si starts playing with me for whatever reason. Just generally being an arse.

So we're coming to a light on a three lane wide road and it turns red. :D When it turned green I didn't jump on it but waited to see what this guy was going to do. He didn't go at first, but got rolling and then spun it into VTEC. I hear the VTEC kick in and hammer it. My 32v Northstar kicks in and this clown got a good look at the Caddy's digital taillights as I pulled away effortlessly. He stays in it and tries to keep up but there is no hope for the poor little Si. Maybe if he went turbo he could keep up with Grandpa, but not this time!

Those red Devilles are some pretty cars though.

this only makes me want to build a northstar powererd rail buggy that much more.

Nope. VTEC is not the displacement replacement. Turbos are. This Si was a '99 or '00. Stock.

Whenever I am in my girlfriends 2000 HX Civic the ricers rev on me. Her car is BONE stock, I have no clue why these guys rev on anything on the road. They still try to rev on me in my Sentra. (yeah right) SR20 w/turbo????no way.

What's with all the honda bashing... its not like a stock 240 could keep up either?? You guy seem to forget that the stock 240 gets its assed wiped without some kind of turbo, or turbo swap. I swear its so pathetic. And what's with all this "Honda's are ricers..." Have you taken a look at the cars out there?? There are just as many riced out nissans as there are hondas... I think its pretty ignorant to assume that because some honda drivers are ricers, that all honda drivers are ricers. When I had my SI, my only mods were Apex'i N1, AEM CAI, DC Headers, JDM Type R lights and a CF Hood. Essentially the same mods that more than half the nissan camp do to there cars... To be honest I would sell my 240 in a heartbeat, if I couldn't swap in my RB. You guys need to think before you speak

you got it wrong man, we don't bash Honda, just the idiots in hondas, well usually anyway.

The guy probably thought he was billy badass only to get schooled by the gramps-mobile, and that's just pure comedy, like when I beat a doofus in a Mustang GT with a minivan cuz he couldn't drive a stick, it's funny, nothing wrong with the GT's, just the idiot in it. I bet the northstar is a hell of a lot harder to mod than a B16 anyway...

Well, let me tell you. Some people do blindly bash all hondas, but if you read it, he even gave props to VTEC, but saying that the deville is more powerful. Repo man isn't bashing hondas, he's teaching a punk kid a lesson.

Indeed. ;) I happen to like Si's and I love Integras. No bones about it. Preludes don't do a whole lot for me, but S2k's do.

First of all, I did read the post, and I read it a second time, yet I see no props on vtec. All I see is a thread that will inevitably bring in idiots saying how they think Si's are weak and ricey. Granted, I may have jumped the gun a little, but I just wanted everyone to realize that generalizing a car by a few of its drivers is weak and ignorant. Its the number 1 reason why other forums have gone to sh*it, and I why I try to stick to more technical forums....

Prelude has mucho respect from me. Two of my best friends have them. One is a 4th gen h22a and one is a 5th gen h22b. Both do very well in autox. Quick too, have driven both.

I have a SR20DE with all the manifold, turbo, and 370cc injectors off of a Avenir DET. The parts bolt right up. All you have to do is drill and tap a oil return for the turbo. If he has a good DE why swap it out for a DET? You will have the higher compression and no oil piston squirters but it will be quick with only 6 PSI. Check out http://www.SR20forum.com, you can find all the details you need there.

OOOO he just busted on yo ***. Seriously if you look at this site as a whole we have respect for all car companies. I for one like Hondas, except for that damn wretched 1.5 liter piece of ****. Sorry got off on a tangent. Yeah man Hondas are nice cars. Ricers are stupid bastards though. Saw a damn s14 riced to hell this weekend. Painted stock bumper blue. Gold car, w/ blue graphics and a giant blue wing. I was sad and I barked at it.

Bluefire,I see nothing in that thread that represents "Honda Bashing." There is nothing wrong with feeling carmaker loyalty, especially when you have the Northstar V-8 engine. This guy wasn’t a clown because of the car he drives; it was because of how he conducted himself. I had a chick in a Grand Am GT rev on me and try to race. Again, clown, but not because it was a Grand Am. Repoman is has plenty of respect for other makes (domestic and import).

That and we have already had our fair share of Honda guys invading the site to throw down some smack. If it happens it wont be the first time and it wont be the last.
