1958 Olds Super 88, got to love the styling!

My first restoration was a '49 Olds Rocket 88... the smells and sounds of a car from that vintage are irreplaceable.Reverend D21 wrote:I think so, a body shop outside of Geneva owned it for a long time. It sat outside along with some other neglected classics. I think the owner wanted to fix all these cars up but was so busy he never found the time. It's a classy car. Just sitting in it was a treat.

+1. Can;t replace the smell. My brother had bought '49 Olds (survivor) several years ago on a whim, and used it for a few years. I drove it a few times. Straight 6, 3 on the tree, 4 door, push button starter (which is now coming back in style). Big roomy tank. Big ol' bench seat made it a good date vehicle.AZhitman wrote: My first restoration was a '49 Olds Rocket 88... the smells and sounds of a car from that vintage are irreplaceable.
