Look at the brake calipers, if they're the Brembos its a track model. If its from 2005 its either a Track model or a 35th Anniversary model and from 07/08 its the Grand Touring model.

After market calipers can add some difficulty to pinning down the model but the Brembos are one of the key indicators.

in 2004 your factory wheels would look like this... (track)instead of this... (not track)

In 2004 there were Base, Performance, Enthusiast, Touring, Track, and NISMO. Just because it isn't track doesn't mean its base model which only sucks because no VLSD (which may not be the greatest thing since sliced bread but its better than 0 lsd)

track came with the wheels pictured, as well as the brembo brakes, and cloth seats, there were other trim levels, form base, entheusiast, performance, touring and of course track, the base model has no LSD and no traction control, and no aluminum pedal pads

Actually, the GT became available originally in 06. It was just another trim level that combined the track and touring models. They still had the Track model in 06 as well though.

I am 100% sure that they offered the "GT" trim in 06. I remembered a dealer trying to sell me a 06 GT when I was looking specifically for a 07 GT.

Mezz, the Nismo version wasn't available until 07 when it replaced the track model.

Yeah. It was pretty much the reason I sold the G35. I had originally wanted the Z but got the G35 because I couldn't get the leather, nav and Brembos all in one package, where I could with the G. Not to mention the interior updates were quite a change for the better that year as well. The wide wheels were a big plus as well. Well, when I finally sold the G, the GT models with NAV were all gone except for one dark silver one. It had the burnt orange seats and was not something I wanted. Led me to a more sensible decision with the Titan, and the rest of history, but I spent the better part of a year ogling the 06 GT. I'm pretty certain I have the brochure still lying around.
