LOL, yea I guess. That only works if your planning on where your going before you leave. I'm a little more spontaneous than that sometimes.SeVa-S13 wrote:http://www.mapquest.com
Haha, nice. Yea the gps on my mom's car talks too. GPS is not really that necessary, but just nice to have once in while when your lost or decide to go somewhere for no reason.KDashy wrote:I have one of those handheld models that attatch to your PDA. it talks to tell when when a turn is coming up too, pretty nifty but I dont use it too much as I get too lazy to input addresses and such.
LOL, just saw an ad in popular science magazine of their gps system. The screen is a little small though.nismofly wrote:garmin...nuff said
they make the gps systems in our planes here, if the car units are 1/10 as good i would buy one in a flash
The one in the ad is the streetpilot 2620. I have no idea how big it is, but the ad is fullpage and has it set on the dash of a car. From comparing it the tachs, steering wheel, and ac vent, I think its about 4in by 6in max.nismofly wrote:ive never used it in a car, only in a cockpit, what are the dimensions? also what model were you looking at?
Getting lost is half the fun of going to new places. That way when someone says "do you know how to get there" you can say "I drove past there on my way here!" and then they'll be like, "that's 5 miles away from a direction you didn't even have to come in from"yelnatsch517 wrote:I was just thinking about GPS systems and how convenient they are when going to new places. My mom's car has one and I have experienced their usefullness first hand. I just wanted to know how many of you here have one on your car and what are some good brands that will go well with my 95 240.
