I'm looking at buying a used G37 coupe (2011 thru 2013).
Some come with factory installed GPS/NAV and some do not.
I would assume a aftermarket NAV/GPS like a Gamin 5" or 7" would offer features that a 2 or 3 year old factory installed Infinity GPS/NAV would not have.
So I'm guessing it's fine to get a Infinity G37 without the built in GPS/NAV and just get the Garmin.
Or is their some benefit with going with the factory GPS/NAV being integrated into the G37?
(besides the fact no one breaks into cars to steal the factory installed GPS/NAV)

The downside to the factory GPS is the cost of the periodic updates - not cheap. I have both a Garmin, which my wife uses in her car, and the factory unit in mine. Both work just fine, so it's your choice.

I use both!
You cannot use factory NAV to add an address by a passenger while the vehicle is moving so having a Garmin in addition to factory Nav can sometimes be a big plus.

Wow, still trying to decide, I can save 2 grand if I go with a G37 coupe without the built in GPS SAT/NAV.
and it's $350 for an aftermarket Garmin 7" SAT/NAV unit.
Just still wondering if there is any benefit to getting a G37 with built in SAT/NAV?

Advantage = it's built in and therefore one less thing in the car.
Disadvantage = initial cost and cost of the periodic updates relative to Garmin updates.
