I know others have had this same issue in the past. And mine has been doing it on and off for a couple years now.

I've had my M at the dealer 4 time for it and each time when they did a reset, it would be good for a while, then start having the same issue again. I just picked it up Monday and they replaced the whole A/V Nav unit. So far it's fixed, but time will tell.

My old Nav had the Map update for 2013. I get a brand new Infinit/ Clarion unit ($3500 + $300 installation cost), and it comes with the original 2008-2009 maps. I tried to get an included update since my last version was newer, but they wouldn't include it.

Hopefully, no more Nav issues.

Oh... also have to wait 3-5 business days for XM/Sirius radio to get back to me about transferring my lifetime subscription to the new A/V unit.

I have Allstate Premier care, so cost me about $300 and they paid the rest.

I'm glad it didn't cost you an arm and a leg.
Thanks for sharing your successful solution.

So far, seems like the issue is fixed.

Next I have to take my other car (2017 Fusion Sport) in for a recall... steering column bolt that may break and cause an accident, needs to be replaced.
