Am I missing something? when I am on the highway, it will tell me the exit name and not the number of the exit. I have not found an option to change this and is very annoying. Is there a way to change this?

edit:sorry, I have a 2008 G37s

It's most likely due to the fact that exit numbers change like the seasons in some parts of the country. You wouldn't want your GPS telling you to get off at exit 10 when the exit coming up is 143...

i have never heard of exit #'s changing like the seasons in my life.

I live in brooklyn, NY and every exit # I have ever taken has been the same for over 20 yrs from here to NJ and LI lol

I feel this is a very major flaw in the system in an overall amazing car

I got pissed when they started adding exit numbers out here. Call it comfort. At least most of them still have names too.

We've only had the numbers for a couple of years now. They only help for sequential purposes. Other than that, I think it's funny that a person can't remember a street name (not always easy or applicable. I know).

Well, its not street names thats the problem, please dont get me wrong.

Example:A trip from brooklyn to connecticut is displayed herehttp://www.mapquest.com/maps?1...2s=CT

The infiniti nav would tell me to "Take the I-495 E/VAN WYCK EXPWY"However, every other nav (including the older infiniti navs) would say "I-495 E/VAN WYCK EXPWY exit, EXIT 22A-E"

That exit number is a big thing with me. It almost feels like I am navigating blind...even though I have a nav!

Yeah, I understand. I think a few of the exits out here don't have names which annoys me. I've been used to names for years, then they start the numbers and disregard names. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen.

all and all... im guessing I'm stuck with the name thing only...

it kinda annoys me that my small garmin nav has both the name and the number.

then again, i remember when the FX series came out. OMG did they mess up something as simple as the radio buttons. Thats a whole other story lol Even the dealer was like "WTF"

I get exit numbers on my 07 in CT? Don't know what to tell you. Maybe your Nav is a Yankee fan?
