GPS charging

Interestingly, I found the only place that I think can charge the GPS is not working in the car. Anyone has this experience?

More specifically, the cigarette lighter socket is not working...

It's a swirtched power source, meaning it has to have the key turned on for it to have power. Did you try with the key on or off?

Try to plug something else in there. It may not be the outlet's fault.

I know my Garmin can be a pain. It has a universal-style USB charger but only the original cord it came with works, i.e. my other phone chargers and such won't work with it. Might make sure you have the right cord. I'm just spitballing here.

I've had my Garmin plugged into mine since I bought my V, I ran the cord under that console on the floor, then up inside the dash and out on top of the dash where the GPS is mounted, it came out very neat and works fine.
