Hello,I tried searching for this but no luck so far so I'll figure if anyone have stumbled upon this.

I just bought a 09 2.5 coupe with convenience & premium package (no navigation though).

The car does have a "bump" on the top rear, which I'd assume is the gps antenna.

My Question is have anyone stumbled upon this antenna at the back of the deck while opening up your sound system for upgrades and what not?

I'm hoping to pull this wire down below the stereo and into the storage compartment (infront of the shifter) and plug it into my portable garmin.

If you have seen it, is it the standard GPS antenna plug or is it some specialize one?

Thank you.

The fin on the roof is for XM Radio.. I have a Garmin Nuvi mounted in the storage compartment (used a iPod bracket mount) and it's nice you close the door and no one knows it's there. I ran a Garmin Antenna ($20 best buy) under the glove box up the side under the covers and between the windshield and dash to dead center of windshield (where dash and window meet). you see no wires and only the 2" square antenna and perfect reception!

I'm interested in doing the samething, what panels did you have to remove to run that?

I was hoping for finding a stock GPS antenna behind the bose system some where since it's Navigation ready but I guess that's asking too much.

It's been like 2 years now, but I drilled a small hole under the mat in the compartment and then fished a coat hanger up to it from passanger carpet area, then pushed it up behind glove box and only had to remove a end dash piece where the passanger door meets the dash. Then push the wire between the windshield and dash ( there is a foam weatherstrip there) so it's very easy. The mount in the compartment was really a angle bracket for ipods, you screw the front part of the windshield mount to it. The power outlet is already in the cubby. Took about 30 minutes and that included hardwiring my radar detector to R.V. Mirror power via the dome light area..
