GPSPORTS SMOOTHING KIT For S13 Hatch

Hi Guys, I originally posted this thread about this time last year, since then there have been updates and production has begun.

A little about myself. I am a 24 year old Part-time University Student, Substitute teacher, and Quality Control Manager for a Japan Motor Importer. I have been piecing my project together for just about a year and a half now, slowly sourcing my parts section by section.

Living where i do, S13's without a hole in the floorboard and/or frame are a rarety; I said to myself " If I wait for the chassis itself, i'll never get this project started" ; and so i did; without the chassis. I should have a website up within a month or so with photographs and pics of my project in the making...or lack thereof.

As you will read, I had been speaking closely with a local kit-maker who has up until about a month ago been finishing up his extended production on his Honda S2000 Kit in both 3-Layer Carbon Fiber and Fiberglass. (I will post pictures of his work; the same qulaity and fitment goes into Every kit he makes)

*Original Post*

Hi guys, i ve been speaking with a local Kit Maker who is making a mold of the S13 GP SPORTS Smoothing Kit.

They specialize in Fibremotive/Carbon Lathes for Cars only.

They're making a mold based on the original mounting points to keep the fit and quality to the companies highest standards.

They can make the kit out of Fibreglass or Carbon Fiber.

I'm looking to be the first to apply this kit to my Hatch.

Would anybody be interested in this kit, i have no intentions of using poor quality components for my project.

They're estimating a price of 800 for the 4 piece (Front Bumpper, Rear Bumper, Side Skirts)

Let me know guys, they're making nice kits for other cars.

Here is a link to he Gp Sports Kit

Thats not his car, its GP Sports car, and their kit. I think he was just giving you pictures so you'd know what the kit looked like. He said he was going to post pictures of HIS kitmakers work later.

I have seen the s2000 produtcion in both Carbon Fiber and FiberGlass and the quality, fitment and weight is far more impressive than i would have thought it was.

It rivals the fit and finsh of an OEM fitment. It doesn't look as if it were an add-on, but rather an OEM upgrade.

Every Kit is hand-made and and is checked by the president himself, the same person who is building and designing the kit.

Their HomePage is the following

EastEnd2k.com Feel free to contact Mike.

I have no plas to use a poor quality kit for my own project; after seeing the S2000 Produtcion i have full confidence in Mike's work.

In the 4th picture, it looks like the curve of the fender and the bumper do not meet as they should, and it could be the angle, but the gap between the 2 is also does not look even as it should be, its wider in the front than the rear.

All of this could be a lighting trick with the Carbon fiber but its very hard to tell from a picture. I'd also like to see good pictures of the front bumper on the car, specifically the areas under the headlights and where it meets the fenders and hood. These are the common problem areas on most body kits I've run across. Gaps aren't even or lines don't match, or gaps are too wide, etc.

The one thing I've learned from pictures on the internet, is that black hides things or makes them harder to notice, put the same parts in white or a lighter color and you notice when gaps are too wide or parts don't line up.

If they ever make a GP Sports kit for the S14 I would like to buy a set. I love thier kits but find them pricey. [email protected] if you ever find anything out, thanks.

On the contrary, they work with Flexi-Fiberglass; they make the S2000 kit three ways

1. Hand-Layed 3-Layer Carbon Fiber with rolled Edges

2. Flexi FiberGlass with one sheeth of Carbon Fiber

3. Flexi-FiberGlass

I saw them take one of their Teg Bumpers and twist it 180 dg and watch it bounce back right into place. I will get pics soon
