I was told that I could remove the governor by cutting a wire on the ECU. They said it was the 8th yellow wire with a green strip. I wanted to confirm which wire it is so that I don't cut the wrong wire. Can anyone let me know which one it is?? Thanks.

^agreed. just go hunting for an ECU from a 240 w/ auto transmission. the ECUs are interchangeable. my brother has an 89' 240 and I've got a 90 and I put my ecu in his car to test it. It's better to do it right for the long run regardless.

Yea, but wouldn't the Auto ECU have softer fuel maps and such since its an auto. Others cars have detuned setting for an auto car and its ECU...dunno ....just a thought
