is there any other way to elimanate the govenor besides wiring a switch to the speed sensor

I'm guessing you have a manual transmission only because the automatics didn't have a speed govenor. To fix this problem, but an stock OEM automatic ECU in. Besides that, cutting the speed sensor wire on the transmission is the only other method I know.

greddy speed limiter cut controller. wires into to your speed signal from your trans and lies to the ecu when you hit the limiter.

Putting in an auto ECU will give you lots of codes. As said, just unplug the 5th position sensor.
