My friend worked at a gas station, and someone did that. But this guy did it on purpose because he filled it to the nearest dollar instead of 'just filling it'There are crazy people around.

Similar story:My dad was towing a pop up camper to my grandparents place in the poconos. So somewhere along the trip this car of hot girls pulls up next to him and started waiving. My dad apparenently thought he was hot **** or something. So then he get to my grandparents and realizes that the door to the camper fell open and was dragging along the highway sparking!

Gotta love my dad though

OMG I refuse to goto any full-serve gas station. Even then, i ask to pump my own gas. They always drip! >=(

I used to work at a mobil, I watched several people drive away with the nozzle. My own friend even did it after I hooked him up with free gas. I got fired, and he kept the handle.

On my last road trip, I was driving home from northern California and stopped at a gas station. There was a picture on the wall of a car, with the gas nozzle hanging out of it. The caption beneath the picture, "Yes, it was a woman driving!"

I lived in Portland, Oregon for a year and in Oregon state it's illegal to pump your own gas. So I got used to having some guy pump my gas. Then I moved back to Seattle and the first time I go to get gas I get out. Set the pump up to fill my car. Go inside the station for some ****. Come back out and get in my car. Used to not pumping my gas. I started to drive off. POP! I did the same thing. At least I didn't drive off with it hanging there in my car though!

It'd be even funnier if you could spell "pour." Just kidding. I've seen a few minivans and SUVs with women on cell phones pull out of gas stations with the hoses still in...

On another note, I had no idea there were still full service gas stations? I've never seen one in my life. I don't know how I would handle letting someone else pump my gas...

I've heard of full service, but I've never been to one, or seen it. Kansas consists of mostly farmers so I doubt they would handle having somone pump thier gas for them too well. I know I wouldn't like it. Plus you pay more per gallon don't you?

Maybe like a cent or two. We have a few around town here but they're Swifty stations and I heard Swifty has dirty fuel so I never use them.

isn't Y some states enact 'full service only' because that static electricity spark to the fuel pump nozzle would cause a fire?

i've seen it on 'mythbusters' that busted the myth of cell phone use was the cause, but static electricity was the real culprit.

I totally disagree with full service, It takes way longer than it should, while all the attendants are busy helping other people screw on their gas caps, and lighten their wallets. The worst part is how they spill all down the quarter panel with fuel. It is so frustrating, like when you pull up and their doing a shift change and you can't get fuel, because their is nobody to pump for you. Everytime I take a trip up north it so nice to get out stretch your legs and do the pumping yourself, check oil level, and tire pressure, and clean your windscreen. While you are at it take a few looks at you 240, tell her how good she looks, then replace the pump nozzle back on the pump, close the fuel door, return to the ****pit and continue on my trip. That's living in Oregon for you. I don't think I'll be moving back to Seattle anytime soon though. Sigh.

Yeah, i told my friend to fill up my car with premium a few weeks ago. It came to like 13.25 or something..something25. so i told him i had a quarter. Then the *** decides to try to fill it to the nearest dollar spilling gas all over my car. I would much rather pay a little less and pump my own gas.

ive never been to a full service gas station. i think there is a full service sunoco around here but ive never been there. no need for full service unless ur injured in some way in which case u shouldnt be driving anyway.

i woulda spelled pour correctly but i was tired and i never read over my posts before posting.

"I would much rather pay a little less and pump my own gas."

ride, where in NJ can u pay for self-service? I'd like to know, so I can avoid those attendants that let the nozzle drip down the quarter panel as they cap it off... anyways, it's still cheaper full service in south NJ than in NYC (87 oct 1.419 vs 1.869)

I ask for a bit less than "fill it up" just d/t that fact, but they still drip it down the side :(

So, now i have spare change in my pocket & when the nozzle stops, I'm usually out there cleaning the rear hatch window & say, "leave it @ that or goto the nearest nickel."

yeah, shake more than twice and... you know. Just be careful or someobody will think you're getting to funky with your car. J/k you have to get it clear so it won't drip.

Iv'e done it once and felt like an idiot. My friend worked there so I started the pump and walked inside and talked to him and then paid and left. Well when you pay you think to yourself that you have already put the pump back. So I take off and POP! I got lucky it just yanked out and didn't pull the hose off. It put a chip in my paint though. Of course my friend saw me do it and therefor made fun of me.:D
