ok, i raced a v6 camry thats "got something for me" and i lost with a slipping clutch, beat me at the end of 3rd gear by a car lenght (his front bumper from my front bumper) so now i have a Spec Stage II clutch and im ready to race his *** again and beat him. While changing the clutch, i broke the Crank Possitioning Sensor, causing my "Service Engine Soon" light to comeon. this is what im changing before i race him tho..1. Motor Oil, transmission Fluid, and Gear Fluid.2. Crank Possitioning Sensor and resetting ECU.3. Replacing Oxygen Sensors4. Replacing KN filter.5. Fuel up with either sunoco Racing fuel (110 octane)or add Black Racing 104 Additive.what can i do for weight purposes? what can i remove from my car to make a difference? other than spare and jack? I NEED to beat his ***!!also, since that race, ive added a short shifter and Spec Stage II clutch. Here are my mods...98 240sx (70 k miles) 5spdInjen CaiHKS Super DraggerVenom 400 ModuleStrut BarKYB shocks w/ Eibach sprigsBM Short ShifterSpec Stage II clutch (GREAT!)

don't bother with race fuel....its a waste of $$ for almost a stock motor. Instead keep just about a 1/4 tank of gas when you race for weight purposes. If your really serious about racing take out your rear seats.

Rear seats won't do jack...they are all foam, you'd be taking off literally like 10-15lbs. But if you wanna go raw, take them out anway, all the carpeting in the rear, spare tire, ect. And keep the passanger seat in the garage.

A kid by me went so far as to remove bolts from whereever safely possible and use zip ties.

OT-How do you like your Super Drager, I'm considering getting that for my S13, but it's $150 more than the one I intend to get (Blitz Nurspec).

first Q, yes i love my spec stage II clutch, just make sure its properly installed, RESURFACE the flywheel and break the clutch in, the requred miles is 300, i did it safely and didnt push it till 500 miles, and make sure u have grippy tires, hehehe, that clutch will grab hold! and the HKS Super Dragger, i love it!! people cant even hear it outside the car(other drivers) but when ur pushing it, sounds mean and has a great sound to it,id recommend it to anyone, as a matter of fact, i have another hks super dragger for sale if ur interested. Oh, and of course this will take place on a track, with ambulances and firetrucks waiting for anything tha should go wrong....hehe

So? I've beat v6s with just an Intake/Exhaust. V6 doesn't always = fast. But jeez, to a CAMRY? They're automatics aren't they?

And why are you replacing the KN filter? They're washable. Just wash the dirt out, and re-oil it.

Nick.

Dont feel bad dude...I lost to a Metro on bicycle once...I was having timing chain problem though...after fixing the chain, I was still spinning my tires in 7th gear and blew him away. JK. Do you know if he had any mods? He could have been shooting NAWWSSS....

just found out today, this little ****er has a 85 shot, no cat, full exhaust, intake, pulleys and its completely stripped...that little ****!! no wonder he beat me, him and his stupid buddy, i also raced a lime green integra ls with a gsR transmission, i smoked his *** first through third, all of a sudden, hes comming haulin *** and passes me up like nothing....why? 70 shot of nitrous. and he told me he wasnt shooting bcs i laughed and immediately asked him how big ofa shot he was shootin, he said naw man, no nitrous, i asked him to pop his hood, he wouldnt, he said he would pop the trunk, i laughed at him and told him he was bull****ten, gothim to pop the hood and there was the pretty nitrous line, haha, i smoked him without juice. So now im hoping v6 camry on juice uses his little button and i still smoke his ***.

I just can't see why you would even race a Camry! It's a lose/lose situation. No one cares if you win, you get ragged on for losing.

Ok, I'm not reading any further in this thread until I point out the fact that your sig pic is god, and is allowed to stay that big.

Wonder why Nitrous Oxide never really caught on with tuners in Japan.

I think it's cuz there's no room, driving in japan is like driving in a bumper car rink, at least that's what I've been told

If it makes you feel any better dees, I shut down a Toyota Tundra (V8) over the weekend in a drag race with no launch in my moist turd aka 240SX. That basturd tried to keep me from getting over and thus being run off the road. Up until now, I didn't even feel it was worth talking about.

Repo, I have seen that Q. It was a few months ago. The owners name is Dr. Ken Lee. It appears to be in great shape and he has extensive records for it.
