I was downtown lastnight when this older guy in a 01-03 ish TL type S starts messing with me. We were doing some light to lights. I killed the guy by about a car and a half everytime. I didnt think my 175k mile Q had it in her. The guy yelled at me to take daddys car home.

Anyone that says Honda/Acura suck, needs to go back to school. Sorry guys, but the brand has it together and make excellent products. The NSX didn't sell low numbers because it sucks, it's because they never made many, as an exotic car should be.

I really like the Y33 body style. Especially when Falk gets a hold of it. A few Cima parts, and the car is flat gorgeous!

It is just fun to poke fun sometimes. Get the G50 vs Y33 blood pressure up a bit.

The Y33 can suprise people. I still laugh about when a guy in a 3.5L Alti tried to pass me, then honked in anger because he couldnt get past me even when the VQ was screaming.

I have a 90 prelude with 280k on it, stock motor, that I beat the HELL out of for 10 years.

The seats are more comfortable than my Q, hands down. They are brilliantly engineered cars (albeit underpowered), but to bash them is just plain ignorant. Ditto on the NSX with Falk.

Also, a friend of mine has a 2001 CL type S...and you guys are CRAZY...that thing is VERY, VERY fast. I do believe it would destroy my y33 to 60, at which point the extra 2 cylinders might come into play.

TL type S being destroyed by a y33---not impossible, but hard to believe (given 2 equal drivers).

The only bad thing I can say about Acura is that they need to build a true RWD luxo sedan. Til then, theyll never compete with BMW, Infiniti, and Lexus.

NSX is an amazing car. Its gotta be one of the best used car bargains...

If anyone thinks an Acura sucks, than they just don't know what they're talking about. The only thing that sucks about Acura is that they don't have a proper RWD sports sedan. If the current TL was RWD or AWD that would be the car I would be driving. Even the front drive one is an impressive car. My best friend has one. I was goofing on him why he didn't get a G35 instead. When I drove the TL, I like the G better but I understood why he got the TL. Better fit and finish. More luxurious interior. The TL is the best front drive car I have ever driven, period. If they put the Super AWD system in the TL, that car will be a beast. My friend said that he's thinking of getting the new G when his lease is up, but that new G looks awesome.

The NSX didnt sell because it was way the hell overpriced (blame the Yen?). It makes for a great used sports car, and a TERRIBLE new car value. I'll save 30 grand and take a Corvette, spending the change on a G35 or Miata.

Mom's two MDXes were nice to drive but riddled with quality control issues, and she's since moved on to Lexus (boring but solidly built).

The TSX is a joke. Gee, Honda, thanks for selling us the REAL Accord for a higher price, and leaving us with the dumpy Honda Inspire as a midsize offering.

I like the new TL. Sharp Italian styling, a fantastic engine, and an oustanding sound system.The old one was just a more expensive Buick for people who didnt like GM. Despite being acceptably well built, it suffered from transmission problems.

Acura's entire stretch of 1996-2004 was a complete waste.

Type Suck indeed.

In my opinion, Acura's don't suck. They're great cars. However, the 3rd gen TL was a dissapointment. I liked my 89 Legend a whole lot more.

I used to own the 1st gen 3.2 TL. It was a great car, the interior was very well designed and it had great build quality. Although the power output wasn't all that great for a 3.2L V6.

The 2nd Gen TL was awful. The transmission on those were going out around 20-40k miles. Why did the quality change so quickly? They started building the TLs in the US when the 2nd Gen came out. The 1st Gen TL was the only gen if I remember correctly that was built overseas.

They are great cars, but they haven't gotten away from all FWD cars yet.
