Here's the basic story (s13 FB) (posted this on 240sxforums as well):

Bought r33 clip from osaka (indirectly). Tried to bolt up Mckinney transmission mount and it is WAY off. Called mack, and after telling him the situation and the fact that the vin plate on the r33 said "Rb25de" instead of "rb25deT", he said that the original owner of the car swapped an rb25deT into his rb25d (non-turbo) and used the rb25de (non-turbo) transmission which Mack said was the rb20 transmission. So basically some a**hat in japan screwed me over, and now I'm confused and don't know what to think and believe.

I need people's help on what to do.

Here's what I've been told:

-Mack says I have rb25de/rb20 transmission which insides are same as KA/SR

-Osaka said that rb25 came with the smaller transmission or larger transmission but ratios are the same.

Here's what I know:

-transmission says "Rb71c" on it (and noone in the non-japanese speaking world has any info on this)

-transmission is not the same length as KA transmission

-KA Driveshaft appears to not fit but i could be wrong (as many say it will when in fact swapping an rb20 in)

-Seen that some of you with rb25's run rb20 trannys/ka trannys

Here's what I don't know:

-what to do

-my goal is 400whp (but then again i was assuming I had the right transmission thats SUPPOSED to come with the car) and I've researched and discovered that the rb20 is only good to 200rwkw with good tires before blowing.

Need help. I've already spent $3200 on the clip and $9000 on tons of parts to reliably achieve my 400+ whp goal. So got to figure out something.

Thanks,Daniel
