It's a good thing that Fred and the crew went out and laid the Nissan smack down. I got walked away from by a turbo Civic hatch on the way home.

The first thing I noticed was the huge FMIC coming up in my rear view. Once I got close enough to take a peak over and see what the inside of his car looked like, I noticed two gauges... an AEM UEGO and a boost. That combined with the subtle yet larger than stock exhaust led me to believe that I was way out of my league. None the less, I wanted to line up with him anyway to see what was up.

We happened to be going the same direction, and after about 15 miles of freeway traffic, we eventually got on the eastbound 10 heading away from downtown. I pulled up next to him, gave him the nod and said lets run. He pointed to the pickup truck blocking the lane in front of him, so I pulled over one more lane to the right, so that he could have all the open space in the lane that I was in.

We were doing about 70 and I dropped it into fourth. I heard him drop it down too as he pulled up next to me. We both got on the gas, and in about 5 seconds he had over a car length on me. My transition to the 710 was coming up, so I merged over and gave him the 'peace'. He gave it back, so it was all good.

Lesson learned... need more boost. :help

yeah everyonce in a while you see a fast honda...some dude in maryland has a hatch with a 2.4 liter with a b16 head, all forged internals, and he runs a 150 shot I think... from a roll he beats a lot of "fast" cars...

there are a few 400+hp civics running around here , never came across one on the street though, nothing for me to worry about from the honda camp.

The problem with that encounter is that it wasn't from a dead stop. Nissan torque owns Honda's torque (or lack there-of) no matter what. But Nissan's have so-so high-end.

Oh well, props to the Honda for having done good work to his car.

:D
