That right. Friday night I went to the track to see how my car is running. (Didn't do good at all) I was waiting in the staging lanes when some guys walked up to my car and asked if I was the 240 that just ran 11's.... Nope wrong guy. Well the one guy standing by corrected them that the car that just made that pass was primer black. So It turns out it was they car that had gone 10's a few weeks ago. He was running on street tires (18" G35 wheel ) this night so no 10's for him. But I was able to talk to the onwer a bit and learned some more about his setup. He is running a stock RB25DET motor with stock head gasket and cams. His engine mods are a nice exhaust manifold and intake manifold. It accully just the upper intake that is modded to a front facing plenuim. Turbo is a T70 turbo that looks just like the ones on ebay. He said it was from a local turbo shop and just a plane Garret T70. He doesn't get any boost till 4500 btw. He has an intercooler that goes from headlight to headlight. Its from a truck and was cut in half since it was like 4 feet tall when he got the core. He dynoed the car and made 445 whp at 14 psi. He ran a 10.6 @ 130 running 17 psi. So there you have it. I think that is one of the faster RB powerd cars around. His future plans are for a headgasket/Cams/headstuds. Then he want to put an powerglide transmission one and shoot for 9's on stock bottem end.

Amazing. Someone else was talking about him. I guess he was running 10.80's with a welded diff and then changed to a LSd and kicked it down to 10.60s. Its weird hows hes doing that with a stock lower plenum more than likely its ported. t70 huh? I wonder how a GT35/40R would do.... GET SOME VIDZ!-Alex

Ya the car was red. It's now black with 18" G35 wheels and R33 brakes. He was lucky to get 2 motor sets with less then 12,000 Km! Like I said before he spent 950 on parts just for his exhaust manifold.

I'm pretty sure this guy is on http://www.rb25det.org. His name on there is RBtally or something like that. He seems like a pretty cool guy and his set up is VERY nice.

Any idea what ECU that guy was running?RBtally comes here mostly, but that's not him i think (he would have mentioned it). He ran a 11.1x i beleive, makes 585rwhp and i a F/S post he mentions he went with an auto transmission.

IT's nice to see these great times with stock RB25's. Might be able to shut those RB25 haters up for once

It's funny how RBtally and this guy have setups very close to one another. But they are different. I think RBtally is using a Tec-II. Also RBtally was using a turbonetics turbo's. Isn't RBtally's intercooler water/air?

Anywho I would like to see who has the faster stock SR20. We are talking stock head/cams/headgasket.

Probably M/T's ET Drags 26x10.5. I remember he was on stock suspension with R33 Drivetrain. I think he also blew an axle once at a race. LS auto makes heavyduty axles but I dont think they'll fit the skyline axles. It'll have to be 240 LSD output shafts with stock axles.

He blew out his stock axles that he was using with the stock welded diff. He then swaped the R33 rear end in place of it. As for his slicks I know they are huge. Here are some pics of his car last summer when it was running high 11'sIn the last pic if you look at the lower shock mount you can see a metal spacer that was needed to keep the slicks from rubing the shocks

have to love a budget racer.....just like me . Nothing like beating a car that has 2x + the amount of money into their car then you do. I give him full props and am sum what follwing the same lines and setup as he is. All that matters is that it works and he is not throwing away his money on top of the line over priced products, but then agian it is all about peoples preferance.

He tuned his car at or shop today. Made 485 at 18 psi with 17 deg adv at full boost. That is a dyna pack though. Still using SDS. He took for a ride & it rips. He is upgrading his turbo, installing a ported & polished head, metal head gasket, arps, & is going to be using a turbo 350 trans. Him & his brother are both very cool guys.

SDS uses GM type wastespark coils. They are cheap and easy to get. I am not sure if SDS uses it's own brand of coils but I know the old Tech-II's used all GM sensors.

Are you ready to tune my car FrostyRB?

Yeah it uses the same coils as the tech II"s. I don't really like the SDS my self but it is extremely simple to install, it just doesn't have that many options for fine tuning. It also gets rid of the factory cam sensor & uses a crank sensor. Imissmyturbo we can tune your car for you. E mail me at [email protected] we can set up a time & date.

are you looking to talk to RBTALLY? I believe he is on here but if not I live in Tallahassee and he is the one helping me build my rb25 > s14 swap. Going with custom intake and a few other goodies. I'm heading out there to start the swap tomorrow and if he'll let me I'll take a few pics of his car to post on here and racebread. I know a good amount about his setup so ask me if you can't find him and i'll relay the message. And before he put down 587 to the wheels on a stock everything internal, even the head gasket was stock. We were wondering if he held a record?!?

Just an update:He put headstuds/thicker gasket/and 850cc injectors on the car. Also a larger turbo and I think cams. On his first pass @ 25 lbs his transmission broke at the top of third. Just to give you an idea of the kinda power he was making his 1/8 trap was 116 mph!! It would have been a 9 second pass if the transmission would have held. Based on his injector size he is making around 700 hp on stock pistons + rods on 100 octane. Once the powerglide goes on he should run consistent 9's.
