I got a kewl "racing" muffler for my truck for Christmas. Unfortunately, there is that typical "two types" problem. There is a two bolt manifold and a three bolt manifold, and a three bolt manifold. The company only makes a two bolt version. Guess what my truck is! Yeah....

A trip to the scrapyard for some steel plate, make a template out cardboard, visit to the machine shop for the main pipe hole and three manifold bolt holes to be punched, bolt it up, mark the muffler flange holes, drill and tap them for a set of RB26DETT exhaust studs (yeah, my truck now has GT-R parts :bigthumb:) and bolt her up. Of course two manifold studs snapped.

It's full stainless goodness and the bends are sharp welded affairs, not mandrel bent, but the welding is good. :dblthumb:

The can is tiny and I doubt it has much packing to quiet it down, but I don't care. It came with a plug, yeah, that will look great hanging out in the glove compartment!

This is all anybody with a 45hp will see, because this this should push me up to 49hp! :woot:

Those were just there so I could hear it without the wicked leak caused by two missing studs. I have to drill out the busted studs and get some new bolts. I hate working on crusty exhaust parts, crap always breaks. :tisk:
I'll cut out some thick gaskets and get er cinched up tight soon.

NO TORQUE, I mean none. It didn't have much before but this is twice the size of the original pipe. I should see some more power up top but she don't pull hard.

I could load a turbo van motor in it, but I have cars to attend to first. :gotme
After I have the studs fixed and the flange doesn't leak I'll test it it with the plug. I expect it will have more power but less tone.
