Greetings All,Just wanted to give a huge thanks to Szhosain for the heads up on Huper Optik. Got the Ceramic 30 and I must say that the difference in appearance is shocking. The heat rejection is amazing as well. I cannot believe how much cooler literally/figuratively the car is. Living in S.W Florida, this might have been the best money spent in some time.Cheers to all,Mark

Good! Huper Optik is simply amazing stuff ... I am having it installed in one of my rooms at home that gets a bit warm (direct sun coming in ...) during the summer. Even in our mild weather.

Is Huper Optik better than V-Kool?

Hello All,Clutchkick, you are right. I shall post some pix sometime during this Memorial Day Weekend. Indeed, have a safe and fun weekend to all. While I shall post pix, mostly, I wanted to give very due props to Szhosain for turning me on to the stuff. Since I seem to have the only 04' Desert Platinum in our forums, I will get pix out soon. BTW, if anyone else has this color, reply.Cheers,Mark

FWIW, it's really hard to tell anything from a picture. I have the H.O. and it's amazing.

It's not reflective.

It's also not very dark, so if you're wanting the old-school "blacked-out" look, you'll have to use an inferior dyed film.

Thanks, Mark! Actually, AZhitman (aka Greg) is the one to thank - as I recall, he is the one who first told me about Huper Optik many years ago. It is essential in a climate like Arizona ...

Hello All, Well thanks to AZhitman and Szhosain. Yeah, I wouldn't want to imagine a graphite interior in Summer in AZ. I used to live in Scottsdale and until you live somewhere that hot, you honestly cannot understand how unrelenting the heat is. AZhitman hit the nail on the head. That is, because it is nanoceramic film rather than a metallic or dyed film, there is virtually no mirroring. On the huper optik site they describe it as such: "The Hüper Optik® Ceramic series come in soft and neutral tones to give your vehicle an exquisite and classic European look, enhancing its overall aesthetics. In fact, I had never once considered getting my windows tinted. However, especially living in AZ, or most anywhere aside from the Bay Area, Summer can be brutal. Living in Fl, it is usually pretty nasty here too. this time of year.Again, a safe and fun Memorial Day Holliday to all.Mark

I just got Huper Optik 34% in my 1993 240SX as part of an overall "I'm keeping my car forever" job I'm doing on the car and I've got to tell you that it's the most impressive window tint I've had in any car. I've been a fan of metallized window tint for years, but never cared for the reflection it had. I've had V-KOOL once before and the biggest problem I had with V-kool was that it didn't address the glare problems...it's virtually clear and costs a fortune. Huper Optik has significant heat rejection and you get serious glare reduction as well. It's hard to describe, but V-Kool is just as good, if not better at heat rejection but is far superior at glare reduction. There is virtually no reflection on the outside.

As far as privacy goes, this is not limo-black dyed tint...look elsewhere. You can see in the car...but it's got enough privacy at 34% for my needs and is very easy to see out of at night compared to dyed and metallized tints. V-Kool, again, is virtually clear. It's like there's nothing on the glass. I had it on my Millenia and I didn't really like it. Great for heat reduction, but didn't deal with glare at all.

As soon as I get a chance, I'll take a pic and post the pics of my 240SX, although pictures really don't do it justice. You really have to see it in person. It's really hard to describe.
