I have had it with my clutch...so I'm gonna have the dealer look at it. It's been really jerky lately and it stuck to the floor yesterday at 4k rpms.

Anyway, since I hate going to the dealer, I have a few more things I want them to fix. Here is my laundry list of things I want the dealer to look at:

- Clutch Problem -rattle, sticking, jerky engagement- Driver's seat -shifting, noise, rocking- 30k service -check belts, suspension, replace MT and rear diff fluid, coolant flush.- various interior rattles/noise/vibration- Rearview mirror (homelink) buttons peeling/faded- Glove box gap- Sunroof squeaks when cover open- Passenger seat belt locks intermittently, slow to retract- Cruise control issue -abrupt deceleration\- Check for valve cover oil leak

At least you'll get a new G for a few days. That looks like a 2 day list to me.

Have you checked where you did your clutch adjustment Joe? Maybe it got loose and is a little FUBAR'd

Sticking at 4000RPM is TOTALLY unacceptable.

My drivers seat I find the leather panel to the left of my thigh cracking...not cool.

They prolly won't do jack about the seatbelt.

the cruise control problem is damn dangerous...

Wow that is a big list.

You should get a 09 sedan Joe. You would have less problems. It would be faster too.

But seriously I am looking forward to see what they can do for you. Lets hope they can solve most of them.

Na...I have a lot of $$ invested in my car with the stereo/engine/ exhaust mods! As for faster...I don't think so. I've driven a G37 and a new sedan and they both felt slower than my modded 05.

A lot of the stuff is nit-picky...but it's an Infiniti, and should be free from annoying problems.

The G37's linear power makes it feel slower. The jerk (literally) is much lower.

As for your list. You're probably going to be given all sorts of excuses on the clutch. Good luck.

There's a TSB on the seat. I think there's one on the earlier G seatbelts too, not sure if it applies to our coupes.

I think I'll be doing my own fluids when money becomes more available. The dealership said $55/each if I provide the fluid and they change it.

Never experienced the cruise control issue. When does this happen?

I have a list of stuff to have the dealership do!

My trans is grinding again like it did on the first one. There is something wrong with the syncros! I think they just fixed my old one and put it back in the car!

I think you need to learn how to drive stick

Killing two MTs means there's only one common factor

I wish it was me! That would be an easy fix! The truth of it is that I have been driving sticks since i was 11! (Tractors, Trucks, Jeeps, my G, Miatas, rustangs, Z28 camaro! and a Vette!) Most of them 5 or 6 speeds and never had a problem!

LOL but it is funny you say that!

Maybe you should "mar" your current transmission and then have them replace it. Then you can verify that they installed a new one hehehe.

Dropped her off yesterday...had a nice long laundry list of crap I want fixed. Even had the service manager come for a ride with me.

1. The damn clutch wouldn't screw up for him...figures. They will replace the clutch master cylinder (already did the slave)

2. The rattles did cooperate on the drive, so they'll fix those.

3. Showed 'em my seat (a bit loose and the leather is tearing).

4. Glove box opening.

5. Homelink button

6. Passenger seat belt locking/slow retraction.

7. Replace MT trans fluid.

That is always the case. You have something to get it fixed and when they drive it it does not do it. And makes you feel like an idiot. I hate that.

Got my baby back...they didn't do everything on the list, but some is better than nothing.

- No clutch fix...I expected this as I couldn't get it to replicate for the service manager.

- Rattles fixed...so far anyway.

- Glove box fixed.

- Homelink button fixed (they just put on a new one)

- seat belt not fixed...said it was normal

- MT fluid replaced

- Seat not fixed...the tear cannot be seen without pulling the leather back...I'll have to watch to see if it gets worse.

So that's it...cost me $90 for the MT fluid change...not something I'd do without a lift. I did get used to the sedan though....

With a kid on the way, I may have to trade for a new one.........

It makes sense if the little one is on the way.

Selling a car with a stereo and mods will have nearly no effect on the price. If you sell the stereo with the car, you should expect to lose 50-75% of its initial value, probably closer to 75% than 50%. Mods may be the same way, not really sure how that goes but I'd guess around 50% as well. If you just want to get rid of them, its the easiest just selling them with the car, but you'll probably get more money out of selling them separately.

On another note, I didn't know they would fix rattles. Do I have some for them to fix. My passenger door rattles in a specific frequency range which bugs the hell out of me.

The only reason I'm considering it is the extra space...both in the trunk and the backseat.

My buddy has the 04 sedan, complained that there was no room for baby seats, and the gas consumption, I've never spoken to him since, because he's a complete failure.

Get the sedan, oh, and the 5AT's are a real treat

The newer generation G sedans are great. My two complaints are the throttle (which they have fixed...I think) and the cheap looking interior.

Well part of the interior. The other problems can be easily fixed with some $$$. Suspension, stickier tires and a some chassis stiffening.

Driving the loaner made me realize what I miss about my I30.

The coupe is still sexier and the 6mt is still sportier.

The 07 throttle turned me off from trading one of my sedan's in for it a while back.... Recently, I did test drive a new 08 and it was MUCH better, not as good as our 05 Sedan, but could get used to it.

Joe,$2K over Excellent Private Party might be tough to get. But, it depends on the your market.

However, based on your car details, your NADA Adjusted Full Retail is $26,500. This is the MOST that my credit will loan on your car. Which might be good to point out to the buyer when they complain about the $2K over PP!!My credit union gives us access to NADA values online. (It might be slightly different since I do not have your VIN to plug in.)

We love our sedan! Now, I'm trying to get the wifie to trade for a 08G35X since our daughter is now living in Boone.

Thanks!!! I needed that!!!! After dropping my baby girl off at college friday.

But, Joe's right - would keep the coupe and trade wife's 05 sedan for the X....cause it snows up there in the NC mountains and might be fun to go see her when it does!!

Well after a few day of driving here's what I've noticed.

They said they didn't fix the clutch, but it feels 10x better! Jerky shifting is reduced...I haven't had the clutch stick to the floor yet...and the normal rattle when you shut down the engine is gone!!

So the question is, what could they have done?

I did have the MT fluid changed...maybe they tightened some loose bolts? The only bad thing is that when she's cold it's harder to put into 1st when rolling backwards.

I need to take mine in for that! It stuck to the floor like 2 days ago and I almost got creamed by a Truck!

Joe what is it that goes bad that they replace to fix that? The Slave Cylinder?
