Finally got my tires put on today and got everything put on. It will look alot better when the coilovers come in but until then it looks good for now. And if you wanted to know the specs...wheels are 18x9 +30. Tires are 235/45/18 and but I wanna switch to some 235/35/18's or some 245/35/18's.

Oh this is kind of misleading now that I read it again. LOL...I have Rota D2's for my wheels. But Im saving up for a set of coilovers now. Juts havent decided on Tein or BC. And looking to get a different set of wheels also. Not feeling the 18's on this car. Im gonna move up to some 19s when I can find some I like. I want to get some g37s wheels or some M45's depending on offset. But how do you like the D2 coilovers? I havent heard alot about them but Im always interested in input.

I feel you on the rims I originally bought 18" and I thought they were way to small 19" seems like the perfect size.

Honestly the firmness(bumpiness) of the ride was mind blowing.... But I have gotten used to it. So it doesnt bother me. Im preety sure BC will be a "little" better than D2 but not by much. TEIN would be muich better but also $1500.00 install you could probably do yourself its not that hard you just need air tools.... They make all of the difference.

I will upgrade to Tein once someone sells there AC but probably not for another 2 years.

Also be very cautious about the drop. I can not go over speed bumps or anything with any kind of drop or raise.

But I enjoy the coils the look is great! So Im happy with them

Yea I have a air compressor. It only took me about an hour to take stock struts and springs out to put the eibachs in so I figure it should be pretty simple to get the coilovers in. As much as it has been snowing lately I think Im just gonna hold off until it warms up though. I was thinking about getting the Tein SS so I could utilize the EDFC but I just dont think the drop is that significant so Im leaning towards just getting the BC racing ones.

Dude, whatever you do, get it aligned after you do it. I shredded my rear tires in about 8,000 milwa like an idiot after my Tein S-Tech spring drop because it caused so much toe-in and I kept forgetting to get it aligned after the install.

Important things to remember about Tein vs. BC - Teins use OEM upper mounts, so you'll have to compress the springs for installation. Sounds like you have that locked down since you did your Eibachs yourself. However, BC uses pillowball mounts, so no spring compression is needed - they'll bolt right up. I have heard that the Teins are much better riding and the drop range is -1.2" to -2.1" front, -0.8" to -2.8" rear (from Tein's website).

BC doesn't have a spec sheet for drop range on their site, but from what I'm seeing, Tein would allow for a very sufficient drop. I can't see why you'd want to lower it around 3".

Yea I had my alignment done with the eibachs about 2500 miles after the install and everything was still within spec so Im guessing the eibachs didnt drop enough to cause anything to go too far out. I can see the camber a little more from the rear of the car but nothing too significant. When I get coilovers Ill switch the camber and toe arms out to some aftermarket g35/350 ones. Ive heard good things about BC and Tein both. Im leaning more towards BC just from the pics I find that shows the drop. Id like to go a little further down than just 2 inches. I want to get rid of the wheel gap completely and tuck front and rear. We will see what will happen. I know Ill be pushing it for where I can drive but I can always go back up from the lowest possible, but cant go lower than what Tein goes max. Im just gonna keep talking to people who have both and go from there. As of now Im leaning towards BC just from references and price, and I have a suspension guy who lives within a short driving distance who modifies alot of coilovers for hondas to drop further who says BC would be his choice just because he has already had a set apart and knows what is needed to do the mods.

There's enough play in the lower spring seat adjustment to tighten down the oem upper mounts to the Tein SS struts without needing to compress anything. Once the mount is installed, you can start preloading with the adjustable seat.

Teins FTW. Spend a lil extra for the comfort cause BCs has a harsh ride

By that bad how would you explain it? Is it worse than stock shocks and struts with eibachs? Or about the same? If it rode close to what it does now I wouldnt mind at all, if its worse then I might lean more towards Tein.

depends on how stiff you have them setup. with the way i have it setup, it's a bit rougher than the stock struts with eibachs, but i wouldn't say it's reason to go drop an extra 4-500 on teins. i have to attribute most of the s*** ride to the roads up here in norcal, some sections are smooth like butter but other sections of road are just straight s***.

Thats what I was thinking. Im stationed at Ft Bragg in NC and for the most part the roads are good except around base where construction has everything all fu'd. Im thinking just go with BC, and if the ride feels too harsh I can always get my buddy to cut the strut and shock body down and revalve it for me. He builds racing suspensions for dirt track cars so with my hook up I could still have a set of modified BC's for cheaper than a set of Teins. And I still personally like the BC's a little better just from what Ive read and how they look.

anyone can make a shock a spring look really nice, polish it and make it nice and shinny. it comes down to real quality. it took Tein about 3 years to come out with their systems for the coupe. they came out with a street functional system with plenty of R&D. Bc just kinda slapped something together fast cuz the interest was there and they wanted to make some money. the Teins really are worth the extra bucks ;)

FYI, Beak has the Tein coilovers. Additionally each coilover application is going to be different for other cars. You can't compare it to other cars. The only people who should talk about the product are the people who have them. I don't want to hearing the he/she said it anymore.

On the softest setting they are bearable. Just barely though.

Anything stiffer than that and things get deadly.

Smooth roads? Nice turns? Damn amazing. Night and day.

Bumps? Cracks? Tar? Leaves? Tiny peaces of gravel? Bouncing everywhere

Still so worth it :yesnod
