Welll, call me lame, stupid, ignint (:)), whatever, but I found my ignition problem. I sourced another igniter to play with, and in the middle of taking my old one off I noticed the plug on the coils side was really corroded, so I sprayed some term cleaner on the igniter and the plugs, scraped off the residue, and hooked it back up. Lets just say I feel like a total moron now ;)

Now that I have spark, I need to figure out this fuel pump thing. The Walbro blows the fuse when the key is turned, and I think its a wiring issue because it happened right when I was testing my turn signals, and Ive heard that the fuel pump is somehow connected on that system (ie, some peeps have said their pump will slow down when the turn signal is on). Im wondering if I was running too many volts to my pump and burned it out, or something along those lines, and when the signals started blinking it surged the pumps internals and fried them. The fuse gets HOT when bridged, and its shorted somewhere, I just need to find out where its at.

ps, the blinkers still work.

Is this following the "7 step" wiring guide? No offense to anyone, especially the people who figured that out, but that thing definitely needs to be revisited. From skillzilla's problem and a few other problems people have mentioned, I am betting that somewhere there is a path from the ignition switch ON position directly to the battery that opens up AFTER the ignition is turned on (i.e. a relay is being turned on and then gets power from itself). Something is definitely not right if your fuel pump is in any way affected by your turn signals.

Unfortunately, I sold my S13 FSM a while back.

Good to hear you've got spark, tho.

I followed the 12 step guide Branden (Nismo241, Nismobuttnutz) wrote, and the fuel pump wiring weas pretty straight forward. Another thing that I forgot to mention is that I had the fuel lines on backwards (of course) during all this, so its possible that I was overloading the pump, and trying to flow fuel and pressure backwards through the FPR, which is a one way valve. IOt could have overloaded the pump, and the turn signals (which are for some reason linked with the pump on a few cars Ive found out, Mitsu's especially) were just the last straw. Im reinstalling the stock pump and testing the walbro, and testing the circuit again with the stock pump yonight, and Ill post up the results later tonight.

thanks for the help
