Alrighty folks, I got a few questions.

I have a S13.5 with an S13 SR20DET.

Stock InjectorsT25FMICJIC Bullet SS full exhaustApexi intakeGreddy 3inch downpipeTuned with an AFC-Neo

I put down 232/238 on a cool night on the T25 @ 14lbs.

My question to you folks is, what should I realistically be looking at boost-wise and horsepower-wise on a stock internally SR20 after tuning? Mods as above, except with the addition of the PE1420 (GT2871R Sized) and 550cc Injectors.

IS it necessary for me to get RAS?

Isn't 360 a bit optimistic?

I was thinking I'd be making around 300 to the wheels without sacrificing my internals too much.

I mean ****, 360 would be amazing but I really doubt I could push that much boost on a (pretty much) stock SR.

Well damn, that's intense.

I somehow doubt that with stock internals that's a very good idea.

I want to keep it conservative because I'd rather not blow my motor, what can a stock internals SR20DET safely make?

With a good tune 400whp! With 550cc injectors I would shoot for 300-350WHP with pump gas 350-400WHP with race gas!You might need a cam upgrade for those numbers.

Just waiting on my injectors to come in...

I got a Tial 38mm, manifold and PE1420 ready to go on...

Bump for more opinions.

400whp is where it's at. That would give you the same power to weight ratio as a Ferrari f430 But It would be a good idea to have a MLS head-gasket and some arp studs.

I'm not trying to hit 400hp by any means, in fact that would be way too much power IMO.

I'm trying to hit 300-320 and see how feasible it is without pushing my motor.

Just for a piece of mind, I know a ton of people who daily drive SR's with well over 400 and a few into the 500's on stock internals and have for awhile with no reliability issues, its all in proper maint. and good tuning. Me personally I think 350 is the perfect number to shoot for in a daily driver.

Yeah I mean ideally I want to hit like 320-330whp and I know i'd be happy for a while.

Main reason I want to do this upgrade is to reduce the strain on my turbo/injectors.

14lbs on the stock fuel system is pushing the injectors and turbo a lot...haha.

I've seen people using nearly this same setup in the mid 12's. That's enough to keep up with some stuff where I live at least.

What about this?

What if I'm on that setup on only like 11.6lbs?

That would be spring pressure for the Tial wastegate.

how would 400hp do damage to your stock block? if you did any research on the 2871 builds and on other turbos youll see with the correct supporting mods and a good tune people push 400hp daily on stock blocks. and yes RAS's would be a good investment, take it from me, i learned the hard way on that. but to answer your ? on the hp you might be making is about 350 easily. dont cheap out on a fuel pump or the tune. FPR wouldnt be a bad idea along with a wide band and maybe apexi HG. to reach 400hp on that turbo cams would be needed, throw some 264's in there. its your build though.

I didn't mean too much power for the block, I meant too much power for me.

I'm ordering RAS's really soon.

I forgot to mention I have a walbro 255 and the tune is no problem.

well if you think its too much for you i guess dont go through with it. im just saying if you plan to put RAS's in, might as well put 264's in. so when you are getting use to 350hp...just turn that EBC up alittle bit and bam your at 380ish easily. and beating modded 600 bikes

Too me, saying "too much" means that it's useless.

I personally don't want a car that spins through third because I don't want to be only able to roll-race ****.

I can get BC's at cost so that'll go in soon, but I ordered injectors today, so I have EVERYTHING I need right now.

Yeah I'm coming from 250 right now, and all I'm looking for is 300ish.

I just wanted to see how easy it was to do that with my setup, and apparently it's pretty easy.

I figure coming from where I'm at right now. (T25 on 14lbs, Stock Injectors, 247HP)

And going to.(PE1420 on 13lbs(?), 550cc Injectors, 30XHP)

I'll notice a big difference, haha.

Plus open wastegate will keep me busy for a while.

Main reason I want to do the swap to the new stuff is to reduce the strain on my motor right now, at least with the new stuff injector duty cycle won't be at a billion % and the turbo will still be in efficiency range with room to go.
