Hey....

I know that you guys work real hard to get all of your information and I know that you guys dont like to give away your secrets but....

Y not be immortal? Your info would be valuable to all the new people that just start the Power FC. You would live in the minds, hearts, and souls of us, as well as in our motors.

Please share all of your valuable info. Maybe this can be a real valuable sticky one day.

Ignition Maps, tricks, info, anything regarding the Power FC specifically.

Thanks IN advance.

if you can wait a little while I'll be in the same boat as you. lol, actually though, I've heard that the PFC's tuning is pretty involved. Might want to get a pro to tune it on the dyno. I plan on getting a local guy named Frank of a shop called RaceTune to do it.

I've got some general setup tips for a timing map courtesy of scott avoy. I'll dig it up then edit the post with it.

EDIT:I'm leaving out some of the information as to why you'd run specific timing values, but here is scott's "bible" on setting up timing. If you want his reasoning too, let me know.

Timing basically levels off over 3500rpm, like this. These are values for 0 BOOST:500 RPM - 20 deg 1000 - 20 1500 - 22 2000 - 25 2500 - 27 3000 - 30 3500 - 32 4000 - 32 4500 - 32 . . . 7500 - 32

For full vacuum (and below 3500rpm):500 RPM - 20 deg 1000 - 20 1500 - 24 2000 - 28 2500 - 32 3000 - 36 3500 - 40 4000 - 40 4500 - 40 . . 6500 - 40 7000 - 36 7500 - 34

In between 0 vacuum and full vacuum, just do a nice slope between the values above.

For boost, retared by .75deg/psi off of the 0 psi numbers. Here are some check values:For 14.7psi of boost:500 RPM - 9 deg 1000 - 9 1500 - 11 2000 - 14 2500 - 16 3000 - 19 3500 - 21 4000 - 21 4500 - 21 . . . 7500 - 21

REMEMBER: all of these numbers are degrees of timing. I'm not sure how the PFC timing maps work, I know for my AEM I just put in these numbers and that's that. For the PFC you may have to change the numbers based off of what the base timing is.
