I'm not sure how much I like them yet... What do you guys think? Don't be afraid to say you don't like them. I appreciate the honesty.

I was underneath the car the other day trying to find a bolt that I lost. I was very unhappy to find that one of my tires had a big gash in it. I am surprised it still is holding air. So, that meant that I had to get new tires.

I looked around locally and tirerack.. found some ok stock size 15"s for around $200 to $250. Would have been over $250 to $300 after shipping and mounting, etc... So i thought I would check ebay for some used wheels and tires. I found a set that looked sharp in the pics and were almost brand new. They were listed for $400.00 They are 17x7 40 offset with 215/40/17 Nankang tires. The wheels are called R-tech something 40's. Anyhow... to my great surprise, the seller was local. That is a big surprise when you are in Green Bay, WI. Only an hour drive away.

So, I picked them up for $375 cash.

I like the style for the most part... they just look a little to ghetto for me sometimes... I don't like the little flare that's halfway out the spokes. Otherwise they are pretty cool.

They have around 100 miles on them I guess.

Here is a pic to compare new to stock...

Here is a pic from my garage this evening...

It's amazing how low profile sport tires highlight wheel gap... man do I need to get that thing lowered! They are honestly 17" wheels.. but they look little... I almost think 18's might look better even though I have always thought 18"s were to big and looked funny.

Anyhow... thanks for looking!

Seth, i think they look great cept for two things. Firstly, the already mentioned lowering to remove some of the blank space around the wheels and secondly, i think it would look tons more finished looking if you painted the calipers. Probably a red or something to make it look like the calipers you had on the spec-v, But all in all great find and i really like the five spoke design.
