Well I was able to get my sides and rear painted finally. I also had them remove the corner lights from the front and rear bumpers. It is much cleaner looking now. I traded a website in exchange for the work, otherwise I would have saved the money for a kit in a few years.

The only issue I have is there is a long thick black rubber seal that runs along the bottom edges of rhe doors. Could not paint it due to it being rubber.

I looked at the JP one and it does not look like its on thier car. There is a noticible gap between the end of the door and the begining of the side skirt though. Since they are just held on with screws I am going to try and remove it and see what the gap looks like.

Damn. That is one sexy bish of a car.

I'm not totally lovin the wheels, but they work well.

I'td be sweeter if you could slam it while maintaining the filled out wheel well look (w/o having the fender sit below the top wheel lip)

Looks awesome!

Glad that you go the "trim" piece worked out--that is what has kept me from painting mine. On all the other colors it probably would not be that noticeable, but on our pearl white it sticks out like a d!ck on a fish. :D

Love the car man, wheels look great!

The car looks beautiful. What did it run to have pearl white paint put on the skirts/rear? This is a great thing, it looks so much better and appears a bit lower to me because of just paint

My guy said to do all the work it would have been about $1500. But that was mainly due to the taking out of the lights. To do just the sides and rear it would be around $500.

We do have pearl 3-stage paint.

The car looks great Jade.

Did you finish trimming out the lips of your wheel wells.

Is there still rubbing?

No more rubbing. Everything is all nice and clear. I love the look. I am no thinking about getting a Japanese lip kit and having it molded to fit the car, my paint guys said they could do it and would hook me up.

I DIG IT THE MOST!! You got my vote for the sexiest ride. I applaud your idea of molding over the side markers. I like that sheit. I went the cheap route and smoked mine out with tint and removed the bulbs, but your idea was gold!

I'll let you in on a secret, so dont tell anyone..... Im considering getting that side molding strip along the front and back doors completely removed and molded over to have a smooth and clean door.

So, what is next? All white interior and leather

Thanks for the compliments. Guess what, those strips come off with 4 screws and some tugging. All they are for is to keep dust out of your door jams. Your door is sealed with the rubber trim around the door.

I pulled them off and all it does is leave a tiny gap that you cant notice unless you are low to the ground.

I figure once side skirts go on it will bring it up a bit too.next for the car is most likely a lip kit from japan molded to fit the car.

Then Ill go with a new muffler and then the interior.

I think he is talknig about the door mouldings in the center of the door that continue slightly on the front fenders.... Been thinking of shaving those myself.

I would like them a whole lot more if they flowed around the bumpers as well.

Haha... No not an easy job on these cars. There is an 1/8" indent along the doors and fender. Thats deep and as a former body man cannot recommend it be filled with anything less that a metal strip welded in.

Not impossible, but my guess would be around $1500 at any reputable shop.
