Got Screwed

Hey guys, i posted a while ago i recently bought a 91 coupe for 850. well it turns out the frame rails are rusted bad and i took it to a place to get the brakes done and they said it was too much of a liability to work on. So i pretty much got f***d big time.

Does anyone know what i could do to fix this? If so please let me know.

Yu might look at this car as the "parts car" and find a cheapo no motor shell, and get under it and check it out. You might be able to score a free "parts car" from some one else that isn't rusted.

Moral of the story: Start shell hunting. Craigslist, Local car forums, scouring Nico's classified. I could get a bout 3 cleanish s-chassis right now for less than $500. Most likely gonna be hatch fyi, look for a vert or something.

You live in Illinois. I'd expect any 240 to be rusted out up there. Everytime someone asks for advice on buying a 240, we always tell them to inspect the frame rails first and most of all. This is why. Tough luck, homie. But can't really expect too much for $850, IMO.

yeah i figured. idk why i didnt check. I usually do that first. But yeah im starting to look for shells. Or my mom said she might, Might be able to help me out when she gets her settlement. Thanks guys, but yeah anyone know of any shells for good price in illinois that are rust free?lol

take it as a learning experience

older nissans and toyotas tend to rust in the northern states....... just be sure you check it out in the future; and be thankful thats all you lost

Ask about getting the shell, "after the part out" he might just want a couple hundos and to get it out of the way.
