damnnn i feel ya.. i just got rear ended tonight... about two blocks down from my house.. the F$%ked up part was when i approached him (two hispanic males) he said '#%@^ that I'm not paying for it' and took off. So yeah hit and run. But i managed to get his license plate down, called the cops and they couldnt do crap. Said most likely they're uninsured and itd cost be about 500+ to fix it.thejewboy wrote:so last week my friend and i were on my way back to my house and we were going just a little over the speed limit. a stop sign was approaching so i stopped kinda of quickly and then boom my friend rear ends me. the damage isnt to bad but the bumper is sagging down and i have two screw marks (about two inches long) from his front licencse plate. the only damage to his car was his liscencse plate screws are missing.
just thought i should share my sadness
they work very funny...the cops no longer do anything about hit and runs. They make you file a complaint and the insurance deals with it. But they trace paint and tires and w.e they can get a hold of, and trust me they will find you. OR, if the guy gets down the plates, then just wait two weeks and youll have a nice warrant for your arrest which can be paid off easily ;]Dr4gonCoupe wrote:if its a hit and run isn't it a felony?
they basically said there not gonna do anything and just wait for insurance company to deal with it.. and NOPE according to him its just a 'misdemeanor' which is bull.. BTW i just got my car 3 days agoDr4gonCoupe wrote:if its a hit and run isn't it a felony?
