Thanks for the info about how dealership makes profit, Q45tech! That's something new to me.....Q45tech wrote:Dealers have TWO sources of revenue. When Nissan won't pay, you must or they can comp it forcing them to add your charges to some other poor soul.
If you are whinning about a measly $100 your future will be very painful in car ownership.
Obviously you are not one of the FRIENDS at a dealership who bring doughnuts and gifts and get many things comped. People everyone are happy to see every 90 days.
i hear ya man.. but the thing is i work in downtown Toronto and Willowdale infiniti is the closest dealer to the subway station.. so i dont have to take a day off or something just to fix my car.. but oh well.. lesson learned....zozoka1212 wrote:Man I would probably end up punching that Karen guy in the face. That is the second time for you with that idiot stick. I would definitely consider to go to another Infiniti. I know it is not convenience to go a bit further but if it is less hassle it might worth it.

Agreed and well said Joe... pffft at having to basically bribe a dealership... gimme a breakjoe603 wrote:Screw that bringing doughnuts crap! I bring my car to the dealer to get fixed by competent mechanics and because I bought an Infiniti, I expect better service. They should have doughnuts and coffee for ME! Excellent service was supposed to be a part of the Infiniti culture...
If I wanted crappy service, I'd buy a GM.
Q45, I would whine to about a measly $100 for something that broke on my brand new car...they should have just fixed it, giving the guy a nice car wash and apologize for the inconvenience. Hell, they should throw in a free oil change! If you make the customer happy on the little things, they will come back for the bigger things, recommend the dealership to family/friends, and maybe even buy their next vehicle there!
its 92,000km not 92,000 miles ( i live in Canada )the bumper-to-bumper warranty here is 4 years /100,000k whichever comes firstBigWill wrote:I would have to agree totally with the theory that the customer is first. I am very fortunate to have purchased my car through an Infiniti dealer that has provided me with outstanding service. They DO have doughnuts, bagels, coffee, fruit, water, all for the customers. When I bought my '04 in '06, after getting it home, I discovered a small gouge in the wheel, and in the tire on the passenger front, as though someone had hit a curb or something. Upon informing the dealership, they scheduled me to come in immediately, bought me a brand new wheel and tire, and rented me a car for the day, (and always make sure that my car is returned to me clean)... all covered on my warranty. On every visit there, I have been treated just as I believe all customers should. It is worth every mile of the 37 mile drive.
I am really sorry to hear that your dealership is sweating you over $100... but I guess I have to ask, you said that you took it in to be covered under warranty... did you buy an extended bumper to bumper? At what mile point does it run out? I only ask because 92k is pretty high mileage.

Ahhh... got ya. My bad. Being pretty much the only country in the world that deals in Miles, I'm sure that you can understand my confusion! In that case I am REALLY stumped at why they would balk at a hundred bucks. (Or, would that be a hundred Moose, in Canada? lol)Smartidiot wrote:
