got oil change went 300 miles to gf house motor blew

I had a oil change at penzoil i know bad move on my part . I drove around 300 miles motor just outta no where started knocking. I started to slow down to pull over and the motor blew. What could have caused this all of a sudden ? It ran fine with no noises or anything wasnt beaten her or anything.

That could be a million problems. I'd just open it up and take a look. Thats going to be your best option other than taking it to a shop so they can charge you an arm and a leg to tell you that you threw a rod or bent your valves.

yeah i was gonna do that but one i got it to the house i looked and realized there was a hole the size of a softball at the number 3 & 4 cylinders shes gone to the pasture.

I wouldnt be surprised if they forgot to put oil in your car.

They could have forgotten to either:1) tighten your drain plug2) replace your drain plug gasket3) tighten your filter4) add oil5) make sure the gasket is off of the housing after removing old filter

Any one or combo of those could have caused it. Go back to the place you got it changed at and ***** moan and groan until they pay up.
