BUT, I'm not happy with the lights. my old ones stayed constant like normal lights. these ones flicker like CRAZY! seems like I'm driving on a stone paved road or something. the light is just flickering like crazy. I'm going to wait until tonite to give my final opinion though. maybe after the lights getting some use, MAYBE they'll work perfect like my old ones.... hopefully.

yep, it had a weird bouncing effect..you cant see it when you take a vid of it, which i tried to do for refund purposes. ended up throwing them away. Had DDM's ever since.Hussain wrote: you had the same issue with the light bouncing up and down?
nope. no altima comes standard with them. you get HIDs when you get the premium package and I just have a base 3.5 (many 3.5 owners on here didnt come stock with HIDs).DaCoupe wrote:The 3.5 comes stock with hids, what happened to yours?
I had the slim ballast HIDs and they worked perfect from start to finish. with these ones, the light bounces up and down sooo much! the other Xentec HIDs I had, never did that. plus I remember going from stock to HIDs and having a HUGE difference in light output. my old HIDs burnt out after 1.5 years and I went back to stock for a few months and now got these. going from stock non HIDs to these, theirs no difference in light output.... their might even be less light output. so I think something is wrong with them... I messaged the seller on ebay.ms_coupelover wrote:hey, i have the same HID's the flickering problem is normal..
with the use and time it will go away i had the same issue!!
it goes away dont worry my mom had the same ones installed in her new silverado
and flicking started but then like i said with the time and use it goes away trust me!!
very good HID's they work great for me!!
I just installed my DDM set yesterday. Only issue I had was the reversed polarity on the harness, easily fixed by flipping the ballast connection. No other issues, work great, very high light output. Recommended....Rob.Vegan wrote:Sorry to hear about the repeated misfortune.
I bought my first (and only) set from ddm tuning back when it was like $80. They have since gone down to about $40 now and I believe they have free shipping as well, and if not they have a lifetime warranty which sold it for me even at the higher price. My auto feature works and there was like a two or three day period where my driver side low beam went out, but after the couple days it came back on.
If these fail I would suggest ordering from http://www.ddmtuning.com
I know exactly what you mean by bounce. If you are sitting behind a car with your headlights on their rear bumper the top line of light will "bounce" up illuminating an area that wasn't illuminated before. I have a similar problem with my Xentecs. I also have the thicker ballasts and they work fine on auto however ever since I installed the wiring relay they don't flicker at all. Before I had the relay they flickered a lot, especially in the cold weather. I dunno if they have to warm up or what. The bouncing only happens with my passenger side headlight though. Not the drivers side which is closest to the battery. I'm wondering if that has something to do with it. I have already had to replace a ballast after only 3 months, and I just did that a week ago. Now I have this "bouncing" issue with the pass. headlight. I really don't feel like messing with them again as I have to take my whole stillen bumper off to get access to them.Hussain wrote:thanks for the complimentsabout the HIDs, Its not really a flicker (I shouldnt have used that word) it's more like the light bouncing up and down. It sounds weird but its sort of something you have to see in person to know what I'm talking about. the light bounces up and down, their not any brighter then stock (which I've had HIDs before and they should be MUCH brighter then stock), in fact I think I can see farther at night with the regular bulbs. then the color looks sort of greenish. I mean honestly, these lights are nothing like the HIDs I had before.
