So sometime around 06/10 something went wrong with my brakes and eversince i was never able to figure out wtf happened. I ended up just putting it on jack stands and put it away. This last few days i ended up replacing a lot of brake components and one of them fixes my problem lol.

Yesterday i finally registered it and took it for my first drive in 3 years! :gapteeth:

Congrats! You really let a brake issue keep the car down for 3 years though?

I had two people come see the car and both couldnt tell me what was wrong and after that i just gave up and put it away and kept going with life ...

Quick question..
Theres a metal plate under the hood from a nissan dealer that says "60k 2003"
Im guessing thats the date the 60k timing got done. My Z has 101380 miles now. Should i be looking to do the 120k service now or i should wait until i hit 120k miles?

Nah, warranty is up this year. plus the issue happened after i installed racing headers. warranty isn't going to cover that. taking it out to a performance shop to get it looked at.

I think you can probably wait until 120k. also depends on how often you drive it.

I think I'd start setting $ aside for the 120K now and as soon as you have it, do it. Just to be on the safe side, that belt goes and you're REALLY in trouble...

I think Timing Belt service is every 60k miles OR XX years... I thought it was 6.. I don't remember.. but I'm fairly sure it's less than 10 :ohno:

Yeah I'd save up for the 120k kit now, you aren't at 120k yet but the rubber on your timing belt is 10 years old which is usually when dry rot starts setting in. Make sure to check for leaks under the engine too since it sat for 3 years. Seals and stuff can dry up if not started and lubricated every once in a while

Congrats! So what all did you end up replacing?

I was thinking this same thing.

+1 now would be a good time to start saving up for a 120k kit.

I replaced oil, ATF and diff fluid before starting it again and everything under the car is dry :). The car started right away and everything ia sounding good so far.

Like i said i decided to put the Z away after the brake problems. Its and always has been a weekend car.

I replaced MC with reservoir (new), brake lines, brake hoses, booster and bleeders. One of those fixed my problem.
Before the brake problem i had just installed tokico illuminas with megan springs and powertrix/SPL adjustable suspension so i got to drive on them for the first time.

Im gonna buy the 120k kit and see if i can do it myself then.
