So I got my windows tinted at Audio Heaven today....before they started working on my car..... the owner Jeff told me that the upper part of my rear windows has some god d*mn little dots that will may or may not leave some nasty airs between the films and the windows.. he will try to do the best job he can but there is no guarantee......

and unfortunately....there were some air in the dot matrix area and they said the air might evaporate after a few days..so i should wait for a week and if it still looks awful, then they can will cut off the part with the air iand re-tint it.. .

so my question is.. would it look even worse if they use 2 pieces of film to tint my rear windows (leaving a line in the middle or something since there are two pieces) or i wont really be able to tell the difference??

is it better off just to leave the ugly air in between (hoping that one day it will evaporate) or having two pieces of fims on my rear windows??

any expert opinion is appreciated...

Leave it for now. It should settle. The last vehicle I had tinted had the "dots" on the hatch and around the back windows and they settled in with no air bubbles.

I would leave it for couple of days to see. I've seen it before when they had to put another pc in. It wasn't noticable till my friend told me and showed me where the pc is. Make sure you won't roll the window down for a day or 2.

I am on the same way. Include cleaning and everything. I think that's good because you care about and that shows how much you care about things around you.

yeah, you should let it settle for a while, how much did you end up paying for them to tint your windows?

I had my windows tinted about 2 weeks ago, payed 145.00.......The dots on the rear window and the small sides all had the same problem, but after about a week, they virtually dissapeared.........and now everything looks great !

Actually the proper procedure for that so you don't get that ugly bubble look is to apply a strip of black vinyl over the area with the dot matrix and then tint the rest. That's standard practice at the shop I use and they had to do that with my fiance's Acura TL. It looks good no air of course and you wouldn't know it was there unless you aren't tinting dark enough. She went with a 32% on the front windows and the rear three got 6% so that looked really good.
