Awesome!! They are yellow!

Oh, I dont know if they make a difference or not.. I know my old ones were torn to hell & set in a certain position, this may be just a mental feeling, but my car feels like its not as sloppy on the freeway and the front feels tighter & more responsive I guess you could say..

There is also more communication from my tires, because they are off balance.. before they were like:

Tim.. maybe you should get us balanced

and now they're like

TIM.. HOLY **** DUDE.. LOOK AT US WE'RE ****IN NUTS. WATCH HOW MUCH WE SHAKE.. SEE? LOOK LOOK.. NO -- LOOK AGAIN.. SEE? BAM!! KICK THAT UP A NOTCH!!

Again, no idea if those really helped. I think they did.. ;) ;) ;)

LOL! that's funny cuz my car is telling me GET A PAINT JOB!!anyway...if your t/c rod bushings are really worn and you install these PU ones, there should be a noticeable difference. I got the same thing you got on my old 240 and i was happy w/ em. Funny how they're yellow now..mine were purple :P Oh yeah..how are you going to install them??

I drilled the center peice out, then used an air chisel to get the old sleeve out

Installing the new ones was easy, just used a vice :)

haha yeah drill and chisel does the trick. when i first started trying to get my old ones i tried a torch, vise, and even the local shop (who wanted 1.5hours of labor for that--not including installation!). i said screw that and used brute force--chisel and reciprocating saw (those big ones). worked like a charm hehe. Anyway i couldnt install them initially cuz i didnt have a good vise and the shop wanted too much. some actually said it doesnt fit, it's the wrong part, or it might break the bushing! i was like...WTF?! so i ended up using the bottom of my car and a floorjack as my "vise". worked nicely :ylsuper

What the hell did ya'll use to get the metal bushing housing out? I got the bushing out, but I guess I'll try using some metal piping pieces...

Well the inner part I used a drill and made holes all around the inner metal piece until it came out.. then used an air powered chisel and got the metal housing out

It scraped up the inside of the t/c rod housing but I used a file and smoothed it out

inner trick w/ the drill works great...

i've read somewhere that to get to the other metal sleeve stuck on the inner lip of the rod.... get a hacksaw/dismantle it/ reassemble the blade w/in the hole & hack away!

use someone else's car to press the bushings on, preferably a dumestic one :P
