245/45/17 40 offset. no spacers needed but will put 20mm or 25mm on rear to match the front.

things to come: painted calipers, 2" drop and 245/40 shoes.

Damn man you need a drop now. Do you know how much difference there is stock wise to the new wheels in height? That will take a toll on your speedo if its a big difference.

I like that the front wheels are set out of the well as far as they are. Any further would look unnatural and Honda Civic like. Can't wait to get my spacers for the rear either - will look so much better.

looks great . do you really think you need 20 mm spacers. whats the o/s on the rims now? because if you lower it then put those on the rear tires my rub every time you hit a bump.

the offset is 40. i want to put 20 or 25mm spacers on the rear so they match up with the fronts. even when i drop it by 2" they won't rub - i got tokico hp's ...meaning they give you a nice, firm ride with very little shock travel and lowering springs are going to be harder than stocks as well.

fyi there is a 10mm difference between the front and rear axle lengths on each side of the A32

i.e. a 10mm spacer would bring the rear wheel flush with the front.

Why not fix your busted door panel before you dump any more money in aesthetic modifications? ... Just a thought...

it's not busted, it's got a hole in it and i will as soon as i find a door at a junkyard. plus i don't "dump" money on esthetics, if you read the posts you would've known i got the wheels and tires for free plus it's a car i drive to work and race occasionaly so the few dings and dents i've got will be fixed when the time is right.

so...don't hate, if you're gonna - stick to your pathetic number of posts and don't write, bro.

i have no idea...i'm guessing about 220-230mm? since the tire is pretty flush with the edge. if it's stamped on there somewhere i can check and let you know, but i haven't seen anything except for the offset.

just thought about something...8" = 200mm, 9" = 225mm so my guess is one or the other or 8.5" = 212mm

ok, cause i'm running 17 x 7 running on 225/45/r17. i wanted to upgrade to 235/45 but not sure if the 17 x 7's can handle that. i actually seen some but places like tire rack recommends 225 for maximum width

is your car a daily driver or for street? wider handles nice when cornering but pulls when you find any rut in the road. also the wider the poorer the fuel mileage.

btw...the rim can handle a wider tire and it would look pretty sweet bulging out but most tire shops can't legaly put tires wider than rim spec on. you'd have to either do it yourself or have a "buddy" shop that won't mind. when i went in to get my new wheels balanced and put on they told me that "legaly" the tread was too low for them to put on but they'd do it anyways - cool guys:)

i see. this is my both daily and track car. i really need another set of rims w/ better offsets and wider width for track. the 225's just isn't cutting it. i get NO TRACTION coming out of corners. but 225's are the maximum width for STS class. but i think i'm going to upgrade to 235 or even 245 next year when i change class to DSP.

for daily use i'd keep what you got otherwise you'll pay for the cool look at the pump...like i do just get wider wheels for track use - will save you money on getting new tires if you run them at the track only. you could go with a higher treadwear if you wanted to run them daily but you lose some handling abilities.

here's a good read that might be helpful when you decide on tires: http://www.icarumba.com/cobran...l.asp
