I finally got my RB today after spending the last month or so looking for one. Decided to go with Jarco since they are like 20 min from my house and also have heard great things about them. Bought it yesterday and they delivered it today. Here are some pics along with a few ?'s. Sorry for the poor picture quality I suck at using this thing.

Here it is, my life for the next 4-5 months.

First ? can i use the ka a/c compressor cause I didn't get the rb one. ka24e by the way. Need to change belts?

A look at the inside.

can I get any use out of these?

I know u cant really see anything but how does this look? burning ok?

Thanks for any comments.

The first thing that pops out is that the exhaust manifold is definitely NOT the factory unit. This could be good or bad! Look under that shield, makes me also wonder if you have a different turbo.

Yeah i knew that going in. Was worried about someone beating up the engine cause of some aftermarket parts but knowing jarcoinc and having them close was reassuring also was able to watch a video of the car running and seemed ok. unlike most people i realize i'm buying an old engine and expect some issues. about the turbo well i dont know sh*t so here are some pics u tell me.(think its stock)

here are also some pics of the car its going into

Thanks for the feedback!

Turbo LOOKS stock, the HKS actuator clearly isn't.

Good eye!

Dude, you may have come out smelling like roses if that motor is internally sound. There are some damn good parts there. Where is the ECU?

Your coils are blue and about 450 bucks + shipping new.

That is one of the best motors that I have seen come from Jarco.

Maybe you can answer this - are they still selling half-cuts? Just wondering.

As far as the spark plug is concerned, just get new ones, that motor probably needs to be ran for a while before you can tell anything. ngk bcpr6es.

That almost looks like one of Stec's side mount manifolds. Made by the same guy as the top mounts fearsometea is selling. Good stuff if that's what it is.

There are several that design. You can't tell how quality it is just by the tubing shape. If it's real thin walls though, I'd say ebay crap. Look and see if it's got the holes cut out in the flange between the primaries. I'd also lean towards it not being the ebay crap since it's actually fits on the motor. Look for cracks, and holes reamed out to make it fit.

I never even knew tomei made shifters though. Interesting.

ok took some stuff off. here are better pics of the mani. no noticeable cracks, dents or holes seems to fit good but it is kind of discolored. what do you all think replace with stock or leave as is. also some better turbo pics.

I would leave it alone. Every manifold that is made out of that material is a lil discolored. Mine on my integra was that bronze/gold/purple when hot color.

I just talked to my shop guy and he says that mani isn't one of his and looks like an ebay POS. Sorry.
