Finally, I got KS, spark plugs and turbine sensor. I will digg in sometime this week.I don't want to remove transmission . That turbine sensor doesn't look that scarry (long) and I should be able to squeeze it in .I hope after all that done my Old Lady will become "like a virgin" once again. Cheers!

Never heard of replacing the sensor without at least dropping the front engine brace and mounts... except for someone who cut a hole in the floorboard.

Always call to confirm availability and correct part number. Not everything is on the web.

YA '97 I know

"Someone" doesn't recommend cutting the floorboard just the trans tunnel, unless you want to piss away 2 extra days.

Tech,

Can't you see he made a smiley face out of the items?

Including the KS would have ruined it!

Please explain why is it so critical. I know connectors are prone to loosen over time, but if there in no voltage drop (resistanse) across connector, it should be OK!Just wanted to know! Thanks!

It's not the voltage but the signal/frequency that's critical. Connectors are known to be problematic on the injectors, CAS and MAF; no reason the KS would be an different. There is a difference in the labor though, and spending $35 now (or whatever it costs) makes a lot of sense to reduce the risk of having to redo this job in the near future, especially since you just spent over 10x that amount on the other stuff.

I went down the road of replacing the sensors and not the harness... don't waste your time pulling the plenum twice!

In case of Y33 you DO NOT have to remove plenum. Just take alternator out, upper t-stat housing(by-pass) and you are in! To R+R harness you don't even have to undo t-stat housing (by-pass housing). Cheers!
