texasoil, I'll assume by your location and name, that you work for Big Oil, and want to keep people buying your products. I KNOW that Amsoil is safe to use for extended OCI's with no negative effects. Amsoil at 10 k is better than conventional oil at 0k, in my opinion. There is a reason that Jet engines run ONLY on synthetic oil: because they don't break down at extremely high temp's and they don't fail like Dinosaur oil.
