Iwill be mounting them, tomorrow, if it doesn't rain in the morning.

Got them from a Lexus owner - Don't hate me!

18 x 8 ASA AR1 silver with a polished lip.

Sumitomo 245/40/18 tires (I know they are a little small, and the load rating is a bit low, but I will bump up the pressure, to make up the difference).

It was a SWEETHEART deal. I got all for, for the cost of new tires!

They look nice, but I gotta ask, was the Lexus guy using hub-centric rings and do you have some for the Q? Not sure if the Lexus is smaller or not, thought they would be too small??? But can't remember.

Yes, they are hub-centric, and yes, the Lexus had smaller centers. I had to swap them out for the right size for the Q. No problem, Tire Rack has plenty, and eBay is not running out any time soon. That was the first thing I asked the guy.

They fit fine on the front, as well. I will be testing them out, once the rain stops. The silver Q has 255/45/17 on teh front & rear, and they are a lot tighter fit than these.

I always said my Dream Gen -1 is a Black on Black Q45a or t.

You see as soon as you guys talk all that sh*t it when ever anyone wants to change a thing on a Q some one does then everyone is drooling

All that need now is some Uber German tent stuff. "To make your journey to the darkside complete"(TM).

That look soooooooo tight.

Now just add this to you driveway

I do want to tint the windows, just a bit. Thanks for the accolades!

My next vehicle will either be a 2005 G35 Coupe (Charcoal/Graphite), or a 2002 to 2004 Corvette Convertible (Triple Black).

I love the Black on Black, but am very partial to my Silver/Grey Q45, as well.

The C5 is so sweet. It has a nice wide fat bold raw American look thats somewhat lost in the C6.

Jeff, when I first saw your silver Q on the forum, I thought you had the nicest Q. Now that I see this black one, you have the 2 nicest Qs on the forum. I saw your pics, and you did a nice job rehabing the black paint. Like butta. Keep up the good work.

You should buy one real american car.

I think we are much alike you and me

The Corvette is the BEST dollar per HP in the world. It can compete on a "World Super Car Class" and that's bone stock under 60,000.

It's amazing I bet all of us would be driving American cars if we didn't jump on the FWD trend in the 80's I mean have you driven a 90's Eldo GM and the new FORD's are gonna be great now that all the AWS,VVT\V-Tech DOHC V8 type theh is no longer under patend

A 1974 "boat" Eldo could out drive it with the right drift'n 70's style driver.for all you guys out there that know what a 1966 Buick Skylark GS is.

And for those that don't 401ci, 2x 4bl carbs Stock, only two gears LOW and HIGH (That was my first car ).

I drive the Q45 because it is V8 VVT DOHC RWD lot's of HP and a very refined.

But my old buick would RIP it's doors off.(in a stright line)

I would go for the Corvette unless you need an Econ car(not that the g35 is a econ car).or Wait for the new Skyline under 75,000 and sold LHD of us import.

Yes, I have seen a few with that option. There are also 3 different rear-end gear ratios available on these cars. There are a lot to be had, with low miles on them. Especially now, since the C6 is out. A sot of enthusiests will be trading up, just because the have to have the latest model.

I would like to keep my purchase in the mid to low $30 K range. This will be the weekend/fun car.

I really have no hang-ups about whether I buy American/Japanese/German/Korean cars. I really look for the best bang for the buck. My evaluation may be a little off, but my daily driver preference is a big 4 door sedan, RWD, V8, Leather, between 75,000 miles and 200,000 miles. The price range is $5 K to $10 K. There are not many choices in this range. The Q just happens to be the best buy, IMHO.

Thanks for all the compliments. I am chasing a hesitation on the black car. And the mileage is not up to par. I think the previous owner put Bosch plugs in. I bought a new set of plugs from Wes, but haven't taken the time to install them. Evie drives it short trips to the store & gym. I will problably install the Tokiko Blues on the front & the new plugs over Thanksgiving.

The tires sure make the car track better. The stock wheels were quieter, but these feel much more solid. The ride is basically the same as the silver one, with 255/45/17's, but the worn shocks probably help soften the front of the car. I am sure when I install the new fronts, it will sharpen the suspension quite a bit.

Unfortunately, I will not be spending much money on either car, for a while, with Christmas and taxes coming up, and all.

Hey Jeff, If you don't get those plugs in over Thanksgiving maybe I can come over, help you, and learn to do it. I have no idea what kind of plugs are in my Q.

Oh, and Green...I had a 73 Ford with a 351C w/ a Holley double pumper and it would've left my Q sitting still. But it was a much different drive.

Golden Jeff..... Hope you get those plugs in, like time bomb with bosch in there!

Jeff... Are you gonna look into lowering the car...?? It would really make it look much better, IMHO, especially for the rear..... Some say handling isnt as good, but the handling between my Qs is much different, this Q is like a sports car...

I would like to lower it, but, the ride is harsh enough, with the 18" wheels & 40 series tires.

I lowered my old '95 Maxima, when I put the 17" chrome wheels on it, and it was too much.

Remember, I drive at least 150 miles a day, in the car, every day.

Danny, no problem. Send me an email, and lets get together. I have a lot of work to do around the house, as well.

My Auto maintenance list:

Silver Q: Fuel Pump, Fuel Filter, Major cleaning, Oil Change.

Black Q: Plugs, Front Struts, sway bar bushings, Tension Rod bushings, find a clunking in the rear suspension, Amsoil replacement, Major cleaning as well.

Black I30: Major cleaning.

I made a deal with Evelyn. I bought her a really nice jacket, and she would detail Lola (The black Q45t).
