Got my license finally!!!

Well today I turned 16, and finally got my drivers license. I'm so happy, in about the 4 hours that i drove today i put over 100 miles on my car already. It was pretty bad weather too, first it was a little wet than it started to snow lightly, it was pretty slippery, but i know to take it easy, which i did, and pay attention, and i know i'm not a pro, infact i have a lot of things that i want to get better at. Anyways, i'm just so happy, this is like the best day of my life, and a big step in my life.Just thought i'd share : )

congratulations, i remember when i got my license i felt the same. how did you you get your license the day you turned 16? where im from you have to be 16 and one month.

Hmm, over here you just have to be 16 i guess, it took me about 15 min. at the DMV, since i passed the co-op driving test in my drivers ed course, so i just went there, showed them all my paper stuff, took a picture and went out with my brand new license, there were like no lines so it took about 15 min. They didn't even charge me, i guess it was paid for when i paid for my drivers ed course in school : )

Congrats, feels great huh? I got mine at the beginning of the summer, 2 great things about it i gotta say, girls are so much more fun and no more leechin rides off friends. oh, i think that is a law that got passed like that here, but from what i heard it doesn't start til january so it doesn't imply to me since i got my license before january

I'm from NC and we can't take anyone for 6 months after gettingour licence. But also we can drive any time after 6 months as well. I get my anytime on January 4. YEA!:pface

Lucky you all, I got my permit like 4 weeks ago, and then I have to wait til June 5th for my liscense. It sucks, having known how to drive stick since I was 11 and not being able to go anywhere w/o mommy or daddy. Also, my brother is buying me my car until I have the money to pay him back, soon I hope. In Texas, You have to have permit for 6 months, but you can get your permit at 15. You can only get your liscense until you are 16. But, I turned 16 on Monday, Dec. 15th, but I have to wait 5 months for my liscense. Oh well, at least I can work BTW, your not the youngest here, I registered on November 2002, so I was 14 then. There are some other 15 yr. olds around here, but I dont think they post much.

I'm 18, so I know I'm not he youngest one here. I've gone througha licience suspension and have another one coming up Jnauary 7th, so I know what its like to get your licience back all over again! (hab. violator-3 months sus.) it's alright i can still get to work

that sucks, being 16 but not being able to drive, over here you only need your permit for 3 months than you can get your license, i've had my permit since may so i was good, and was able to get it the day of my birthday.

in less than 3 days i almost drove 500 miles already : )

because i didn't turn 16 til dec. 18th, and thats the legal age to get it here, but you could have your permit when ur 15
