I just got R2C Chrome Performance intake.. Where should I bring to install my intake? A lot of people said it is easy to install. The last time I read something online easy installed took me almost 5 hours to do it myself. So this time I will be smart to bring it to the shop.

Should I bring it to infiniti dealer? or Midas? any recommendation?

Bro...it's seriously not that hard. Why not just take a good look yourself first and map it out?

But...if you really are uncomfortable doing it..I say go to Infiniti, that may save you some hassles should a potential problem arise.

Good luck and be sure to post pics and a review!

Doooeeett!!! It's very simple, there is no easier mod to install yourself... 5 hours to do a wire install, you may be looking at 1 hour to remove the existing filter and housing, and 1 hour to install new the new tubing MAX!!! Don't p**** out on us now lucky luke

Do it yourself! Elementary mechanic skills, minor tools, and ability to follow instructions is all you need. Its easy. I think it took me a little over an hour and that was the first time I even opened the hood on the car after I bought it. Good luck and enjoy the sound after.

You're making me sooo proud, I remember when I put in my first intake... ahhh, the good ol' days. It was back in 98, a "cold air intake" on my 92 Civic. It was not good enough, so I bought a ractive with heat shield, and then got some industrial tubing to bring the air in from a huge gap we cut out from the lower grill... we used the stock oem filter housing as a funnel, and the industrial tube connected directly on the ractive filter... It was a fun install, and was tweaked for weeks... adding little additions here and there.

I also installed my own intakes on 2 Nissan Altimas, one custom, and one aftermarket... oh, right, and my G35's Fujita F5... which, hands down was the easiest... once you get the stock crap out of there.

Oh, and I had to work on the intake on my new beater the day I got it... It was loose, and It caused a massive vac leak... I had to tighten and reposition a few pipes/clams/straps... but it's all good

very easy install... i give a rookie 2 hrs max to install it... just dont forget the black vacum hose that goes on the intake and be extra carfully with the MAF sensor...

i know its intimidating to work on an expensive car, but when you really start studying how cars are made, most maintience items are designed to be quick and easy to do with the least tools.

example: i changed my air filter yesterday with just a phillups head screw driver...
