I'm doing a similar setup on my hood. Except mine vents the other direction to let heat out.

no upgrade on the brakes yet, and they are G20 rims... the stock ones were just to nasty to look at so this is simple fix till the 5 lug conversion.

I like It, It looks pretty damn cool. Almost looks like a hood from an FC rx-7.

Is it functional?? I mean, do you draw air through that intake or is simply cooling?

simply cooling, i still need the airflow meter so i cant just suck air to the turbo.

Makes sense, I was thinking of doing this since there is a nice burn mark where my top mount T4 sits. However I dont think I could put a scoop on my car... Heh. In japan I see alot of S13 drivers put washers where the hood bolts so it lifts up. Looks a lil goofy but lets hot air out.

I heard that practice actually makes the under hood temps rise. I will post the sources that claim that in a bit. So its a BIT more credible =)

BTW-TS240, its a clean job on that hood, dont really dig the whole scoop thing in general though, but its very nicely done. I prefer the 280ZX style vent and just vents in general to scoops.(also similar to Jspec.com S13 IIs hood vent) Yashio Factorys S13 hood is nice as well...
