I got my HKS Hiper Cat-Back Exhaust installed yesterday and picked it up from the place last night. After all that crap with my stock being all screwed up he fixed everything. He said my cat. conv. was on backwards and he fixed it and stopped an oil leak for free. So anyways it sounds so good. It is nice and deep and doesn't sound like a bunch of bees, it was definetly worth the $480.

JoshBy the way thanks for all of you guys' help last week.

phat i wanted to get an hks hiper too but im also think about the blitz nur too after seeing the ground clearence on the apexi gt i changed my mind (speed bumpers are murder at school)...oh yeah how far is yours from the ground anyway is it tucked in tight to the frame or does it droop from the bottom of the car

Well the Hiper comes out at a slant, like more than I wanted and it tilts up, so I got him to cut a little piece off of the intermediate pipe and he made it to where my exhaust comes out just perfect. It is right where the cutout goes. I will take some pics either this afternoon or tomorrow afternoon and post them, so you guys can see it. It looks so much better straight than all slanted and messed up looking.

They come out at a slant for a reason.... and it has nothing to do with aesthetics. The point is to keep the pipes as straight as possible. Ground clearance is an issue.... but the pipes have to go under the rear axle. No matter how you bend it to tuck up into the body... you've still got pipes hanging low by the diff. I'd leave it alone and keep it the way it was designed, unless your primary concern is looks and not performance.

Well I was going for both performance and looks but I still felt a good increase in power. I haven't had a chance to look under the car yet, because it was dark when I got it back last night but I am going to look when I get out of school in a couple of hours.

Yeah I've heard that the N1 has no clearance..

So owners... Is this true?

I think the Dual looks the best of all mufflers and I want one but I already have clearance issues and I dont need anything lower...

Hey guys with the HKS Hiper....do you get that weird noise when you drive that makes it sound like angry bees? I think when I first bring out my car from park, I drive it off and I hear that ricer type noise.....maybe some faulty resonators? Help!

mine sounds great even w/ cold pipes. when they warm up, they are even better. i love this exhaust. i try and keep the can as clean as i can all the time too, lol. clean it w/ windex, and boy does that thing shine. my friends are all so jealous of me. heh. i didn't put the sticker on my car by the way red240ne. the only stickers i have, are two small NICO stickers on each quarter window, and on the drivers window, i have my friends initials. he died in march, when we were in a car wreck. so all i have is C.C.S. '85-'02, and two NICO stickers. :D
