Got a SMOKING deal on it, side job from a guy who works at one of Phoenix's largest tint shops....

Turned out gorgeous... Not real dark, and it totally transforms the look of the car.

Got my 05 Coupe done yesterday, though Washington's laws on tinting may be more restrictive than you all in the sunbelt states! Hope to have pix when the weather cooperates. (Yeah, it's still winter here in Seattle )

What percentage tint did you guys get done on the whole car? On my previous car, I had 20% on the back and 2 small rear passenger windows, and 30% on the front two (driver and passenger windows). Supposedly anything darker than 30% on the front two is illegal. I was thinking on the next ride I would get 20% all around. Do you guys know if will have a hard time getting the inspection done with 20% all around? The only other thing I have to worry about is cops noticing, right?

No need for darker tint with the Huper. It performs better than 5% limo tint.

15% all the way around. Might get 35% on the front, havent decided yet. My other two cars have 20% around and %35 on the front. You can still see in during daylight and at night with dome light on. It looks damn good too. You can see my 92 ser in my sig.

Correct.

Nano-ceramic technology, no impact to visibility, and a better warranty than anything else on the market...

I was hoping to get Huper Optik when I had my car tinted, but I couldn't find anyone around here who installed it.

Hmmm, "Stark 30"? Is that a Huper Optik product brand/name? I could only see other product names at their US web site: http://www.huperoptikusa.com.

Pretty sure it's now called Ceramic 30... there was a name change about the time I had it installed on "Q2" back in December 2003.

Sorry, but I got my windows tinted before you replied. I'm not very satisfied becuase the tint guy said he had to cut the tint around the back tailight. His reasoning was beacuse the tail light is mounted in the dash. Is this true?

Can anyone give me specifics on what's required to tint the back without cutting out the taillight?

Thanks,Tony

That's pretty standard to do it that way...

To tint the window without cutting around the CHMSL will obscure the light AND require some disassembly.

The guy who did my tint took my light out and tinted the window. I made sure that he would do that before I had him tint the car because I think it looks really bad if it isn't done. All he had to do was loosen up a couple of screws in the trunk and the light pops right out. The light is pretty bright and can still be seen through the tint. But I do only have 25% tint.

AZhitman: lets see some pics already, hehe

Does anyone know if a)i'll have trouble with the law, or b)i'll have trouble getting an inspection done (in TX) with 20% tint all around on my car?

I paid $250 to get Huper on my G35 and my G20, so $125 per car.

Absolutely.

I had one of the first cars in AZ tinted with HO back in 99 in my work vehicle, a black Inteceptor... Unbelieveable how much cooler the interior of the car stayed with it.

Even with the sun glaring directly at the glass, the inside surface of the glass radiates no warmth... it's kinda weird....
