Got my first ticket with my car :-0

Since I got my car I've been pulled over and stuff but never got a ticket until today. I got pulled over by a state trooper on the Nothern State Parkway. He have me a ticket for my tints but it doesn't list a price. He said just "Mail it in". So annoying.

Does that mean there's no fine? I'm confused. You might want to call up... whomever... to find out if there's a minimum fine associated with the listed infraction.

I'm sure here is a fine, it's probably $65 bucks or something. I'll just pay it. It's the end of the month, they just want their tickets.

Its a fix up ticket, they nvr write the price since it varies depending on the situation. In this instance, either you fix it and take it to the police station to get it signed off or just pay the fine.

I think it's a $50 fine for each window in the front if you're in Nassau County, at least the last time I went. I showed them the tints were removed within 24 hours and had the $100 waived.

Yeah be super careful on the Northern. I got pulled over once in April 2009 during the middle of the day headed towards Bethpage. 80 in a 55. 6 points, $200 fine, then $300 for the Driver Assessment fee... Found guilty even after showing up to court and pleading not guilty. The cop lost the ticket for the person before me but read a page worth of stuff on my case.

Needless to say I have learned my lesson the hard way. 5 times getting pulled over in 5 years and only one of them was a warning...
