I have been searching for a while for a good car to be my first. I origanally wanted wanted an AWD DSM but i decided that they are too unreliable for a first car. Then I was going to get a Honda like my brother seeing as I already know how to do the suspension and all other stuff like timing belt etc. Then over this summer i saw all 3 stages of Initial D. ever since then i was really into getting something rwd. Also Nissan have a little thing called torque. Well here are some pics or my car. Im thinking maybe a paint job just to freshin it up a bit.

Thanks and i was wondering. My car has about 160k on it. Is that terribly high mileage? Should i get something like zmax or Castrol GTX High mileage the next time I changemy oil? I need the KA to last for at least year or two.

it should last awhile longer, and i would just keep up on oil changes regularly. =]

edit: welcome to the Nissan family, enjoy the 240!

Thanx and no comment on GTX High mileage or zmax? Also I was thinking of painting the rims becouse they are really nasty. What do you guys think of bronze, black, or gunmetal. Black is the least on my list.

I like gunmetal. zmax blows. They are getting sued for misleading advertising.

Do some searches for oil by PalmerWMD, he's our resident petroleum based expert. You should be able to find all the information you could ever want about oil :D.

Who cares if it did or not. Everyone finds about things one way or another. So as long as his intentions are good, who cares. Welcome to NICO, enjoy your stay :)

congrats on the new car! I wouldn't worry about the mileage too much, these engines last forever. As for oil, definately check with the posts by Fred (PalmerWMD) as Rex suggested, but I would think that normal oil would be sufficient so long as its changed on time. Good luck!

Thanx for all the replies and I will enjoy my new 240? I'm not saying that initial d inspired me to get this car becouse well for one there aren't to many 240 of this model (flip-ups and fastback) in the series. Im just saying i was looking into dsm and hondas which would have been a big mistake. They just aren't as fun to drive.

I though someone would never ask. Ok i live in NJ and insurance is a ***** and i got to pay her every month. So with that said i dont have much cash. Maybe $200 a month max for parts. Ok so here are the plans:

1: KYB GR2 Shocks/Tien S tech springs ebay total $3002: Custom Exhaust with maybe a Turbo N1 Just so i dont need to get a new one later on. (any familiar with Corona Queens?)3: Headers intake better plugs, wires, fuel filter, maybe time for an oil change by this time. Mobil 1 is going in there.4:save save save save for an s13 front clip.

side note: didi any one ever see one of these in action? Did it do what it says it does. Seems like a cheap way to get a few HP.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...10753

Im 16 and i get my license in June. check out that link at the bottom of my previous post and tell me what you think. Do you thing the suspension combo will lower the car and give it better handling and good ride quality?

I know gr-2's are good shocks, they seem quite a bit stiffer than stock but still ride very good... you should be happy with them.

Make sure to flush your transmission fluid and your differential fluid too. I did that when I picked up my beast at it made a world of difference. I doubt there is any need for "high milage" oil, sound like a gimmick to me.

Welcome! =D
