my engine came today, i going to post pics up in a little bit.it came in two parts, the engine and transmission, which was good for taking it out of the semi truck it came in, but it sucks because i dont have bolts for the bell housing. and somelarge object was ontop of it in the semi-truck and cracked the plate thats removavble on the valve cover, i think it covers the coil packs?

overall i am reall happy, i got a screaming deal so i cant complain about thseo little things.he said he will send the bell housing bolts down and another one of the covers that was cracked with my ecu, cluster, and harness so i am pretty stoked about that.it also came with a 2.5inch downpipe that is really light..ill post pics as soon as my step mom loads them onto my computer.

i got it for 850 shiped, but i tihnk it was just to get the shops name out there, he is not going to be giving everyone these kind of deals. they still have better prices than all the other places (sr's hes selling them for 1800 shipped to your do if your in ca)

he has been getting a lot of requests for ca's, so i dont know if he has any in stock but he can get some.

i was a little woried at first bu whenever there was a little problem he always worked it out, and i give him a A. his shops name is hit and run, i dont think they have a website, just give him a call if your interested.

Sweet, another local. It's really, really easy to fab up your own piping if you can weld.

Damn...Got some goodies as well. That is the best part about getting a clip! All the free stuff! All I got was a bad-a$$ clutch and a damn near new SR T25G tho

ack! at 50 crimp connectors. That might be cool to get the car up and running, but make sure you go back and soldier those connections. heat shrink wrap is also a good idea. You don't want a bad connection 11 months down the road that you can't trace.

Yes! Just say NO to crimp connectors, butt splices, etc... A basic electric soldering iron and some solder is about $12 at walmart. And if you need it for some hard to reach places like under the dash, those cool butane soldering irons work pretty good.

i have a soldering tool, i did hear good things about heat shrink toobing stuff also. i think what i will do then is soldet the harnes where it is cut (arf) and then use the electrical tape around that like the rest of the harness is, and then maybe use the heat shrink wrap for the rest of the splicing.

Thanks for the advice guys!

I've got the next size smaller battery in my DSM Make sure the battery never sees cold and not too much water. Mine got all deformed staying in a damp hatch over the winter

Make absolutely sure that you get a GROUNDED soldering iron. You can burn through static sensitive chips using a non-grounded one, trust me.

Hey SD, I think that i've found the same guy on the internet and was considering getting an engine from him. Would you suggest him? I have his email (hotmail right?) but I don't want to tick anyone off with the advertising thing. Can you PM me to make sure it's the same e-mail?
