Got my engine...finally...question....

what's up everyone. Finally got my RB in Friday. OH YEAH!!!Have a question about the exhaust mannifold studs. I was taking off the mannifold/turbo to get pressure washed and some of the studs broke, with very little pressure applied to them(by hand). Some where rusted which I can understand but some where in very good looking order. Is there a company that just sells these studs? Help is needed....Or shoould i go to Lowes and match them up??? What would you do?

I think the 300ZX studs are the same. Where the manifold bolts to the head right?

I have had a ton of mani studs brake on me. They suck *** from the factory. I'd remove one and send it to ARP and have a set made up, or just stroll down to an autoparts store and get some new bolts/studs. You could probably get away with regular bolts as long as there rated for that amount of high heat stress.

Yeah, I'm very surprised at the quality of the studs.....suck.... that they put in a engine of that quality. Is there any other things of this nature I should check before install? Yama, yes you are correct. I have some pics coming today, I will post soon....

i took some bolts off a 97 240sx and the ysnapped on me. How did you guys take the remaining bolt out?

Night, im sure someone from Japan makes high strength studs, you should track em down and stock them =)
